  • What’s good everyone for this episode we bring the 32 Degree blade back to life. This blade has threaded holes. Pros and cons for this type of blade. Although I discover one of the cons, it was something that could have easily been preventable.
Questions and comments are much appreciated.

With those threads, just get a "helicoil" threaded insert kit. They work a treat and will outlast the life of the blade and then some. Fitter & Turner (millwright) by trade.

I've never used one! I think I like the traditional nut, bolt and lock washer! That way this issue is avoided!

So what is the value of the threaded blade? I’ve never used one.

It makes it easier to mount. So one does not have to reach under the blade and push a bolt through while threading the nut. It has its draw backs but overall not a bad idea.

@@YourLocalIceMan so thread all of the bolts before you put the blade on the machine?

@TyTyson98 not this one. Avalanche blade was like that though. With this one the bolts go through the top and thread into the blade. Once the two end ones are on it is so easy to thread the rest. Tightening even easier. Leave the Allen key in the tool box.
