    I just found your channel here a while back. I made a bunch of parts bin bikes while i was in college and kind of just learned as I went. Long story short i have more disposable income now and am trying to get back into cycling. Have really enjoyed your channel since i found it and have been going through old videos. Great work on this one ! Should be a handy rig.

    You are officially the alt bike RUclips GOAT of Australia! I will stick with my Clydesdale. I can add a rack and trailer for bigger loads and can get through traffic pretty quickly with 2 grocery bags in the front!❤

    Vans grips are awesome and Turbo saddles are my all time favorite. I've been using the Turbo saddles for 35 years.

    They are the coolest looking cargo at the moment, looking forward to your feedback longer term especially against the Crust fork. I'm using a basket bike at the moment but with heavier loads I get all the fun of the Easter show in one ride 😬

      @@harrie205 True words. Street, park and dirt BMX remain threadless press on inteference fit BB cups so far I believe because of reliabilty issues. Blowing out an aluminum threaded BB is a fathomable outcome of throwing a truck or tailwhip down a massive set. Don't take no chances when shins are on the line.

      @@juanfo7307 almost every bearing is press fit(not only bikes). also all threaed bearings are also pres fit they press bearings into alumnium cups and the aluminium cups are threaded in the frames.
      Bike industry is just wild when it comes to quality

      @@harrie205 I agree 100% with your statement. What I am impliying is that aluminum cups can fail catastrophically launching a massive hammer like a whip 3 down a 20 foot drop. BMX except racing has remained threadless BB so far.

    belt steering is cool as hell, i looked it up by code, and it's the same as the car timing belt, so you can get a replacement for cheap

    Amazing how you have a tension meter but no truing stand :D - I build my own wheels too with a cheapo (50 €) truing stand but have no tension meter ;)

    Sorry to correct you, but at 15:09 it's actually a JIS screwdriver bit. You can tell because it has a dot on the face. Even though that package even says Phillips. Weird. You really want to use the correct JIS bit number because it can get tighter without damaging it. I bought a set of JIS impact bits for my impact screwdriver, and it's been a lifesaver.

    "monopole no 01"
    Are these individually numbered? & Do you have no 1?

      If you pay attention, all front “triangles” are 4 sided on bikes. This is just a longer headtube than your used to

      @@garysprojects i just thought the front load is just a fad because its looks beautiful. most of the bikes they feature on bluelug channel are front load. i thought when the load becomes heavy, it will have a lot of effect on steering. I always say i thought because i really do not know hehehe. i only have experience on rear load. i never had a bike with front carrier 😁

      @EvendimataE both are good i think, one of the benefits of front load is that you can see it , if it needs adjusting you can do it on the fly and if anything flys off you will know 😂

      @@EvendimataEi find with a regular bike, set up witha basket on the rear that I cant swing my leg over. And I feel more confident I can see if something falls. But I think a trailer could carry a far bigger load with more stability

    If bike companies want to experiment with new designs they should at LEAST get the basics perfect first (BB and seat tube..)

      agreed, this is a sample production frameset so they were ironing out the issues with the manufacturer, understandable that sometimes these things happen

      our host could have used the right OD saddle tube to begin with. as for the bb... top brands still mess it up. that's why most shops have a set of bb thread chasing tools. i wish i had chasing and facing on mine, but... you gotta do with what you have.
      i'm dubious about the belt. it's a fad; the belt is locked by a bolt that goes through and the pulley is welded at least in one place... doesnt look like a durable solution to me.

    Nothing is easy, ever. Its just a part of tinkering on things. Whether its a bike, a car, or a house. Sometimes when i get frustrated i just walk away for a day or two. As far as shipping problems, its worse in the US right now. I love Ebay, but the US mail has gotten so bad with losing packages that i no longer will use them for anything. Normal delivery times are 3 to 6 weeks. The US mail has been around for over 100 years, ya think they would get better and faster, but nope.

      ya same in aus , some times when i order overseas it comes fast than local - doesnt make sense at all. i think the old infrastructure is hard to change or they had no competition to change. now that amazon etc are here they are forced to improve

    Throw those brakes away, they are useless ! If you'd used the Avid tri-align bolt system on the rear the 160 mount would have worked, and you could align the caliper better. Like the frame design, I hope the geo works well. How did you take any slack out of the steering belt; any slop there is going to be bad.
