I personally hate tethering. Seems so primitive with a cord plugged in! Do you find it hampers your creativity or workflow? Gets in the way? Was it optional whether to tether or not? Or would the magazine look elsewhere if you weren’t willing to tether? The end results look really nice!👌
Honestly, it actually feels more advanced to me. The client (magazine) is able to instantly see the results and make decisions on how to proceed. This was impossible during the time of film cameras. And before tethering on digital, I had to keep pausing my shoots to show clients they camera LCD so they can see the results, but this was without the method of autocorrecting lighting/white balance that Capture One offers me. It's not required that I tether, but it's an added bonus that I do.
Thanks Evan, I appreciate that perspective. That makes sense and I now see more of the benefits you mention especially not having to stop and show the client the small lcd. You can then keep the flow going and that’s good for creativity. I think I just need to accept it, embrace it and try to get more comfortable with it! Capture One seems to work really well. Thanks for the reply.🤙
Tethering is a must especially using Sony, their lcd is embarrassingly awful to show clients, but they have free software and it actually works. I wouldn’t use a wireless setup unless you aren’t in a hurry transfer speed isn’t fast enough to get in a good work flow. I prefer adobe cloud suite to edit :)
Nice shoot - Violett Bean is a great actress to shoot and film.
Was hoping with C-19 you would had more time for some more videos! Your videos are the best out there and really look forward to seeing your work!
Amazing shots... What do you edit on?
Wow, what a great shoot! Thanks for sharing.
Great genes!
Cool workflow on a professional shoot. Amateur photogs can also learn stuff from watching this.
Fantastic your work!!!
. Great video, more please👍
You left some gear at my house

You can get a CamRanger to do wireless tethering but hard to beat the data throughput of a USB 3 cable.
Great content!
