Awesome bike. I too deal with OG paint calls sometimes and the BMW pin strippers LOL! were very accurate and probably got put in a corner if they were slipping so the rear does look hand done. I have a 72 that has og silver and striping I can't do by hand as a 35 year artist. The toaster tank had been painted but around the chrome so I have the og paint under it and even that has tone changes under the clear coat. I think paint itself changes over time but black is a hard call. Matching the '82 rt black is hard too.
Indeed, the pinstriping needs to be studied for sure. There are subtleties in how it was applied, the slight wear on the edges from polishing over the years, etc. that can help tell the story. In my view it is very difficult if not impossible to replicate in reality.
Thanks for such a close look at the BMW bike.
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
lovely
My 67 R50/2 has the electric outlet under the seat since new. Sounds like you need a carb sync. to me. Beautiful paint on that one.
It probably did, the bike had not seen a lot of miles for quite awhjile when I made the video.

is R60 US?
Yes, the 1968 bike all had the US tag even though they could be ordered with Earles forks.
