Also Bhai, If you guys had done this trip on an American pickup truck (Ram 2500, F250, Silverado 2500 etc.) Then the drive might had been more comfortable. Those trucks have larger engines so not much fatigue, also the cabin in large enough for a 6 ft height person to sleep comfortably. Please don't take my words wrongly. Only saying for comfort.

Crossing international border for Canadians & Americans is based on a mutual agreement. Any other national will have to go in for finger-printing and other quick Qs. This is normal. To say they're biased against Indian passport is NOT right. They're biased against undesirables and that could be any passport holder. Yes, Pakistanis do have to thru far more screening and rightfully so ~

I think it depends where you cross the border too. I live in Windsor and go to Detroit regularly, and except for getting I94 I rarely get questioned. Same while coming back. Sometimes, Canadian side doesn't even ask for my permit document, just visa is enough. But then Detroit has bigger problems than illegal immigration haha.
