I honestly don't really know Christina or her music, in fact the first video I ever watched of her is the one I just came from, her and shane singing timber. but I think I'm going to be watching more of her to get to know her better, and like shane said, her videos will always be here for anyone who wants to know her ( like myself ) so sorry shane you can really see how much pain he was in. Of all the people that could have been the one to introduce Christina Grimmie's tribute, I'm glad it was Shane. As a youtube fanatic (along with many others) I've gotten to see the connection between the two, him expressing his heartbreak to the world after this tragedy, and then him slowly mend himself back together in the past few months. I'm not sure, I'd like to believe that those who were producing the Streamy's saw that and recognized that as well, and were able to set it up in not only an entertaining way, but in a way in which we feel included and have that personal connection to how the events played out among everyone. That's what I love about the Streamy's. It caters not only to it's audience, but to the creators actually there, accepting the awards and such. Very much different from a typical award show. . .
I’m pretty sure Christina’s family asked Shane to do it, not the streamys. The streamys would have asked the family to do it and they asked Shane ❤️
Well Said!!! It is about time there is a tribute to the Phenomenal Christina Grimmie. I am glad Shane got to do this too. I am also now in tears. Never have I ever been so heartbroken about a celebrity passing to this day, and part of the reason is that Christina was so UN-Celebrity like. She was not judgmental, so loving and had the biggest heart and talent. I Love her so much and miss her terribly. Such a huge loss!!! Christina could not have been more Loved!!!!!!!!! and NOW MORE MISSED!!! One of the most beautiful people in everyway that ever lived!!!

Sometimes when people dislike things like this it's because they dislike the situation, so for example let's say someone watches this video and thinks: "I dont like what happened to christina so I don't want to like the video because is I liked the video I feel like it's me saying I like what happened" sometimes the like and dislike buttons are more like emotions, so again heres an example let's say someone watches this and says "I really like that shane had the courage to say a speech for Christina!" So they would then like the video, everyone has different emotions when they watch videos and everyone expresses it differently, so before you judge the people who dislike think about why they dislike it.
It's strange seeing Shane being serious, because it doesn't happen often but that's how you know how deeply hurt he was by Christina's passing. You can tell he's a fierce friend and genuinely cares about the people in his life.

For the fact being because someone was killed suddenly who he knew closely for years and did that for her.
