I would love to wipe that dust off, so satisfying. They need to hire me as a duster for their big specimens like this as there is a lot of dust on their exhibits.
I absolutely cannot wait to see the new mount! Dust is an issue with quite a lot of your exhibits, I hope that this inspires a bit of regular housework. Next job, throw away that baby Tyrannosaurus puppet and sort out the Dinosaurs.
+Offtrailed Dino Hi, Dippy is due to go on a national tour for a few years before returning to the Museum: www.nhm.ac.uk/about-us/national-impact/diplodocus-on-tour.html
I am sure I will be missing Dippy so so much. Anyway, I have never saw a life-sized blue whale, I knew it was a mammoth in the world of behemoths and leviathans. Coming up close to a blue whale would be a lifetime experience. Since wild blue whales are in severe conditions. (In terms of endangered) Raising awareness on conserving these magnificent and graceful creatures.
This really should have been a full length documentary. Such an important occasion in NHM history deserves no less.
Hi Richard is great to see that you have now rose to the chief curator of the Natural History Museum..
I love this museum, I just love it. I wish I would be able to visit it again.

Keep these coming! Can't wait to see what happens next and the challenges you guys will face.
Thank you for showing how challenging and exciting this relocation project is for all involved, especially the whale! Can't wait for the next video!
This is so cool, the American Museum of Natural History has a blue whale model and the Natural History Museum has a skeleton blue whale.

Liked the "Lunar landscape" comment!
I wonder if that skull is going to stay intact...

I wonder where the Diplodocus is going to be placed, after it was relocated and substitute by the Blue whale?
