I was there in 1983. Dove in the water in July and saw my life flash in front of me. Water temp about 50. Simply beautiful. I remember Sting had a home there. Spent a night in a hotel bar watching a Scot shoot darts with a native. Funniest thing I ever saw . The banter back and forth still etched in my memory. A great place!
Just returned from a couple of days in North Connemara. Surely one of the most beautiful places on earth. The white-sand crescent shaped beaches and crystal clear water are stunning. Add Glassilaun to Gurteen and Dogs Bay featured here. Amazing!
very nice content here , just awesome upload , great music , lovely ,peaceful and so mermerizing location there :-) Thanks for sharing of it. Like 45, See you soon again.
Thanks so much John ☺️ I didn’t wild camp there myself but did see two tents ⛺️ respectful backpackers. Not sure how wild camping friendly it is though as there is a campsite right beside it. But there is definitely loads of wild spots close by and around the Connemara area equally as beautiful and close to all the best beaches ☺️ Looking forward to another trip myself ☀️⛺️
userbosco Thanks a million! Yep.. almost looks like a tropical paradise but nope.. that’s the West Of Ireland in a place called Roundstone! Well worth a trip!
Ireland's best kept secret???? Nah. Everyone from hell's gates to Bethelem knows of Dogs bay and Gurteen bay. Best to even avoid the road Ballyconneely to Roundstone on a sunny Sunday or weekend
Then hell's gates and Bethlehem must be in Ireland, since for foreign tourists it is mostly unknown... compared to places like Kylemore Abbey and Cliffs of Moher. ;)
I'm amazed what a marvellous place in natural beauty! Thank you for sharing the images!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻☺️
