Hi, on my Honda Jazz I have a buzzing noise that is not always present but is occurring more and more often. They told me it's the compressor, how can I tell if it's the clutch or the compressor?! The air conditioning works as usual, it's the rolling hum that worries me
@@ryanroche1037 I used business cards and found one that fit in-between the clutch then I used the card to space the clutch . It goes on the shaft. If it is off it will spin with the ac off or make noise when it is off Cause it is too close. Good luck summer is here.
I just did mine last weekend. Exact same clutch and I now I hear a squeeling noise like the metal to metal. I'm wondering if I didn't hammer the pully enough.
Great video. You make it look easy, even for a mechanical illiterate like me, lol! My 07 Fit Sport is making a grinding noise from the pulley area. As soon as we turn off the AC, the noise stops. Do you think this is what's causing the noise? I'd hate to replace the entire ac system, as we all know that can be very expensive. The ac is original by the way.
That’s what was happening to mine and this was the issue. But some will recommend replacing the compressor behind if it’s due to fail soon anyway. YMMV Also check your belt life too!
This is easy job for you because the ac coil wires go sideways, but on mine , some factory dipshit worker wired mi ac coil over the top of the compressor and now i have no fucking way to access that wire... And i see that now that i ve dissasembled everything... Maybe removing the fucking alternator would help but not sure...anyway im fucked!!!
@@juhamatkala If I remember correctly, I removed the compressor bolts and just let it hang by the AC lines. That way I was able to push the compressor further down and make some room. Then I had enough space to unplug the coil wires from the compressor. And the wires in my case were not crimped, it's just a simple plug. Just pull those wires out of the compressor and you will see. Then I cut the old coild wires and just reconnected the new coil wires to the compressor. Hope it helps!
This was a tough job, but I finally got it done. Thanks for the video. You saved me money. THANK YOU!
No problem and I’m glad to hear that! 🙌
Checking plate to hub clearance is VERY important after assembly (use old nut first and adjust it using shims)!

What is the tool called by
What is the brand of the compressor?
So could i weld them together in the meantime! A little tack weld on the edges
What type of snap ring plier did you use? Mine is too short.
Do you have a part number for the compressor clutch kit?
Where did you buy the clutch kit? just bought a used 2007 fit. I need to do this job.
From Amazon or eBay
Was it the 50 dollar one ?
Great video! Thanks.
No problem thx for watching
Did you not use a spacer when you put on the clutch?
I did, I was mad at myself for forgetting to mention it on the video.
I'm about to do this on my gf car.. what kind of spacer do I use? And when/ where exactly does it go when putting the new clutch on

Did you use the new washer that came with it? It’s the washer between the clutch.
@@BrianBalatbat I don't think I did. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow morning.
@@socheatban3430 let me know how it works out for you. I ended up using 2 washers but forgot to mention it on the video.
@@BrianBalatbat thanks for responding I will give an update.
@@BrianBalatbat that washer did the trick. I did have one already on. Added another and it's working like it's brand new.

Was it the clutch making the noise on your fit ?
I ended up having to replace the whole AC system. Works great now.
@@markfoster5026 how much did it cost?
how do you connect the coil to power ? Do you need to solder the wires ?
No need to solder the wires, I just crimped the wires.
@@BrianBalatbat No need for crimping in my case, it was just a simple plug.
Mine is short cycling like fucking crazy in this 104-110 Texas heat
Check your refrigerant level first. Low level can cause it to do that.
how long can last that clutch till fails again?
It depends, but it should last for a while.
What size gear puller did you use?
not sure about the size but its adjustable, i rented the kit from advance auto parts.
Would you please share the part number that you use
Hi, I don’t remember the part number but it was purchased from either ebay or Amazon
👍
What type of ac hoes does it use
R134a

i have same broblem, wires are on top of compressor, how do you solve this broblem ?
