I put it in the folders like how you would do for a downloaded effect for a transition. But it didnt work for this lut, and I never realised this was even a way to get it added to the project. good look

Hmmm. I don't think there is a way actually. 🤔 I would remove attributes and copy attributes between clips so that you don't have to relink the LUT on each clip though.

A LOG LUT will need to be applied to footage that was shot in a flat LOG profile, and will be converted to REC.709 in the process. A standard LUT will be applied to footage that is already in the REC.709 color space. Hope that helps 😄
I find that drop down menu so annoying... in the sense that it takes ages to try from one lut to another. Is there any hidden way around this that you know?!? Thanks man!
You can save each LUT as a preset. A bit of work but you add the Custom LUT effect to a clip, select the LUT and then click on the Save As Preset button. My advice would be to create your own category and save all of your most used LUTs as presets. Makes it way easier to preview and apply the LUTs in future.
There is a problem with the last update of Final Cut Pro for Mac when importing photos from Belmak's photo gallery, a red flag appears on the screen only in the photo gallery. If the file is outside the gallery, there is no problem. I hope to deliver the problem to Apple.
@@Brad_West Thanx for asking! No I have not backed up fcp. Color Finale 2, Neat Video, mCamRig and mTitle Hype 02 (the later two disappear when exporting). Sound Effects that i have saved as precepts make the sound disappear instead.😱 It seams like it’s not all effects, but the ones I use most like Color Finale. I tried to update the file information in color finale file and save it to fix the problem, but it didn’t help. Thanks for helping!!! ☺️
@@mariaandwolfi Color Finale did release a 10.6.6 compatible update so you should be able to update and fix that. I'm sure the other companies will follow suit soon. Yeah the audio presets are an issue for me too. Seems like the architecture of the plugins have changed which basically means the presets no longer work. I have to redo all of my custom audio presets.
How often do you use LUTs to color grade?

What's the difference between LUT that is standard and LOG? I see 2 folders?

FCP for iPad doesn't support LUTs or plugins yet.
