My ascendant! I love it. I was always seen as “rebellious” and “hard to control” as a child, but now I see it as being free. I also used to ride horses, I’ve gotten dragged by a horse but I somehow controlled it and made it slow down with the reigns. My boss told me I was the beautiful warm blooded horse at work because I get everything done so quickly and efficiently! 😄

I then studied to be a mental health counselor, but abandoned it due to my not believing it was a good investment at 50 yrs of age, and not believing in the methods of counseling. I am now a initiated Reiki Master. I’ve not started practicing yet, but after watching this, perhaps it is my true calling... apparently Ashvinis are healers and miracle workers. But here is the fascinating part and why I have commented or messaged here.... it’s because I have a twin and we both belong to a family who breeds race horses and this is the family passion and business.. . The physical manifestation is perceived as striving for beauty, fame, pleasure etc. However, there is also the spiritual aspect to it the inner knowing of already being all of it, reaching a state of perfection in all possible ways. If a person only acts based on the physical aspect of this energy it might result in a pushy, vain and pleasure seeking personality. The reason for that is that this person can't see as yet that they already are that what they try to manifest. I have 8th house Saturn in Ashvini square 5th house Mars in Capricorn in the Navamsha. I’m ending my Mars Dasha soon, and my natal Mars is my Atmakaraka in Scorpio. Yes, there is no "ruling planet" for a nakshatra. There are ruling deities. Planet to nakshatra associations are only for setting up specific dasha schedules.

Hi Vic, when you say that Rahu in Ashwini gives too much quickness etc... I thought Rahu indicates things we are inexperienced at from past lives and need to develop, including the rashi, bhava, etc... So I thought perhaps someone with Rahu in Ashwini would need to develop efficiency of swift action. Why would it be too quick? Is it because its their first time riding the horse in this life, and they have not yet mastered the horse?
Let's evaluate per chart, because each interpretation is so sensitive to its neighboring interpretations. However, on its own I see Rāhu and Ashvini both seeking public appeal and approval and both having external focus - so it works well in the sense of giving that focus, but it tends to push these themes over the top.
@@VicDiCaraAstrology Right, and I could see that if its in the 5th bhava, then they would be seeking fame or recognition for their "creative intelligence" or desire to have exotic famous children, lol. I just assumed that wherever Rahu is, the person does not have much experience. So I wonder why Rahu would have so much power to boost something. But perhaps its because its desires have been suppressed and neglected by resting primarily in our Ketu position in the first half of our life, and therefore it becomes like a supercharged potential that goes crazy when it finally gets released in the later half of life, or during Dashas. I have Saturn here...and I've always thought my Saturn reversed my aging. I look considerably younger than my biological age, and the older I get the better looking and healthier I am. Not any health issues...exact opposite. What happens when you put Father Time in a young-beautiful-quick nakshatra?
Things in isolation mean what they mean, but when those things are assembled together, the context changes them. In isolation I can only read Saturn in Ashvini as a health problem and blockage of freedom. The rest of your chart may have a completely different context, though, not allowing this to be a prominent interpretation. Also there is a possibility of calculation error. How did you calculate it?

Yes, there is no "ruling planet" for a nakshatra. There are ruling deities. Planet to nakshatra associations are only for setting up specific dasha schedules.
@@VicDiCaraAstrology Sir (I think it's better I address you as sir 😉) there is a branch called KP astrology (which I'm sure you've heard) which bases its entire predictions on nakshatra lords (owning graha of nakshatra) and sublords within than Nakshatra. So I wonder what they think of this. PS - they also use a western chart.
if someone has Sani/Ketu same degree in Ashvini in 3rd house, does this mean the younger sibling is complicated and sick, or the relationship of this person to his younger siblings is not easy?
My cousin is an Ashwini. He's name is also Ashwini. And he's quite a handsome one. And I don't like him. Very intelligent again, just like any Aquarius. And superbly into his own world.

Hi Vic, when you say that Rahu in Ashwini gives too much quickness etc... I thought Rahu indicates things we are inexperienced at from past lives and need to develop, including the rashi, bhava, etc... So I thought perhaps someone with Rahu in Ashwini would need to develop efficiency of swift action. Why would it be too quick? Is it because its their first time riding the horse in this life, and they have not yet mastered the horse?
Let's evaluate per chart, because each interpretation is so sensitive to its neighboring interpretations. However, on its own I see Rāhu and Ashvini both seeking public appeal and approval and both having external focus - so it works well in the sense of giving that focus, but it tends to push these themes over the top.
@@VicDiCaraAstrology Right, and I could see that if its in the 5th bhava, then they would be seeking fame or recognition for their "creative intelligence" or desire to have exotic famous children, lol. I just assumed that wherever Rahu is, the person does not have much experience. So I wonder why Rahu would have so much power to boost something. But perhaps its because its desires have been suppressed and neglected by resting primarily in our Ketu position in the first half of our life, and therefore it becomes like a supercharged potential that goes crazy when it finally gets released in the later half of life, or during Dashas.

I have Saturn here...and I've always thought my Saturn reversed my aging. I look considerably younger than my biological age, and the older I get the better looking and healthier I am. Not any health issues...exact opposite. What happens when you put Father Time in a young-beautiful-quick nakshatra?
Things in isolation mean what they mean, but when those things are assembled together, the context changes them. In isolation I can only read Saturn in Ashvini as a health problem and blockage of freedom. The rest of your chart may have a completely different context, though, not allowing this to be a prominent interpretation. Also there is a possibility of calculation error. How did you calculate it?
I also intuitively feel that you will never age because of Shani with the Ashwins
