Most people interpret the song as Lana Del Rey reminiscing on her privileged childhood “like when we were kids under a chemtrails and country clubs” the country club being representing happiness, privilege, and lavish living and the Chemtrails representing something mysterious looming over whatever it is. I think the Chemtrails represent Lana knowing she is different, she doesn’t want to spend her days at the metaphorical country club “this deep normality settles down over me”, she’s too much of a free spirit “I’m still so strange and Wild” the wolves represent her wild side, and contribute to the over all mysterious vibe of the Chemtrails. Lana has always said freedom is her favorite feeling, she chases freedom and being confined at the metaphorical country club maybe wasn’t the life style she wanted, and it made her wild side grow.

The music video was inspired by a book called Women Who Run with the Wolves and represents the wild side that all women have deep down inside. I also think the video plays on perception and how by day they seem like normal rich country club women, but by night they’re werewolves, which shows nothing is ever as it really seems. Love her music

I think that represents that shes one person during the day but at night she is wild and untamed (hence the Wolfpack).
Maybe because I have been listening to Lana for over a decade I have a better sense of her personality and can easily dissect the meaning of her lyrics. I absolutely love this song and video. I think you will understand her better once you've seen it.

It's about wild, curious, interrogative nature (personality) trapped in the ordinary , superficial, consumeristic, repetitive world. About person who stopped to ask questions but feels that there's more to life than small talks, jewels , pools, and country clubs..... This video also raisese some deeper questions, as why are we soooo indiferent about important things that are happening around us ( chemtrails and the face mask which has the holes in it ,of course it's not with holes but it's made to look like it is, and it's made like that on purpose, chemtrails and mask are used as certain symbols) ......This song and video have so many layers and can be interpreted in more detail. Anyway loved your reaction :)

My interpretation of this video is how we all can feel trapped in the mundane day to day lives we live and sometimes you want to break free and go feral to feel something different and extraordinary.
my take on this video (and I could be completely off) is that it's a take on the american dream and the music industry. The first half of the video is what people expect, it's calm and beautiful, and seems like a place you would want to be. Her biting into the the orange might be her actually stepping into the industry and realizing all the terrible shit that goes down, and now her view of the american dream has changed, hence the burning car she was driving earlier being present, it's a memory of what her mindset used to be. the constant flashing between the calm and unsettling scenes could be her wanting to go back to a time in which she wasn't in the music industry. I could just be overanalyzing this tho lmao.

Women who run with wolves is merely represents not just survivors but who conquered those wolves at the end of 'game', as well. Its hyperbolic yet the intensity is real as reality and the video expresses it 100% same as a tornado.

i like the shroud of mystery the video added to the song, it makes it possible to wonder about the story or point... id rather struggle and have to think about it than have it be a shallow song that is in your face about nothing
