Birkenhead - Education 1950's Style

Short film depicting typical school life in the Wirral during the 1950's. Not much had changed right up to and through the 1970's.
School shown is Mersey Park Junior School, Higher Tranmere, Birkenhead.

Good grief - this was my school at the time I was there! Yes I remember the nature table and the two separate playgrounds!

This short clip brought back a lot of memories. I was there in the late forties but moved on to Birkenhead Institute in 1950.
Was that teacher Mrs. Audley nee Lewis ?
