It's ok, in general if you are not shifting down at lower RPM its not bad but my downpipe is catted. I normally drive in pure manual mode but in D no pops/burbles, in S it does so at night esp by residential I cruise around in Manual (D) to keep it quiet. Overall I really took multiple passes to get the tone I like which is generally tenor exhausts rather than very bassy or loud per se and enjoyable across the entire RPM range even at low speed. My R32 is so musical, wanted something closer to that for the Golf R. Thanks!
@@itisthomas I'm a designer / engineer but not a welder lol. I have guys I use who are welding artists. The auger/resonator uses two 3" stainless Vbands and is basically a 1.5" tube that has spiraling auger flanges that take up the space between the outside of the 1.5" and the inside of the 3" exhaust tube. So you can pull it and either stuff the 1.5" tube (steel wool etc). Right now I have no additional stuffing but want to experiment there too. The J-Pipe, Helmholtz was more complex but looks beautiful. Overall not cheap as I didn't weld it, but I was concentrating on the sound.

Do you like the burble tune from EQT? Is it loud and obnoxious or more OEM+? I just want a nice OEM+ burbles versus gunshots. Your setup sounds good.

No drone at all due to J pipe / Helmholtz resonator. Unitronic DP
