Yes! Indeed! You can plug almost anything to the input 1 or 2. There is also a selector to indicate normal signal or mic signal too! You can record it straight to the sequencer alongside with your sounds from internal sequencer. Other than audio recording to sequencer, you can sample too! :)
Hi Emanuel Nice question! That's the advantage of the Korg Kronos over many other keyboards/workstation. When you connect Korg Kronos via USB to the PC/MAC, you will not only record the 16tracks MIDI but you can also record the sounds of Korg Kronos (Using the Software Plug-IN that comes with the set) like how you usually select your softsynth sounds on your computer and the most amazing part is the KORG KRONOS becomes an AUDIO INTERFACE which you can RECORD numerous AUDIO TRACKS like any audio
Glad to see Korg has upgraded the keyboard. I have to have one of these now that have more mem and larger SSD plus ethernet and USB highspeed transfer.
hanks for these demos. I'm just wondering how you find creating music on a workstation like the Kronos X, compared with Computer DAWs (Logic, Cubase etc)... Anyone else, please feel free to give your thoughts also
People are now using the Roland BK7m with the Kronos to play styles and backing tracks. Cool. You might check them out here on youtube. Its a great idea and I think Im going to put a Integra-7 in the mix aswell with the Kronos over midi. You can sell the people a BK7m aswell for the Kronos.
Good tutorial. I noticed you did not mention changing the midi tracks each time you selected a different program/instrument. Does Kronos do this automatically? Also, don't you have to set a length in midi track length as well? For myself, I'm trying to figure out how to create a looped-sequence that I can place in Karma to play along with my live performance. Because the band may play the song differently every performance, perhaps adding an extra bar or two during a guitar solo for example, I need to be flexible and not stuck to a strict single performance.
It's been 5 years, can we get more, Im just warming up to the Kronos 2, what a monster synth! i just bought these new sounds from Korg for my kronos and it's like i just bought a brand new, upgraded synth for cheap, wow!
i recorded 3 deferent intruments and my voice too in sequencer mode.....can i save that to my usb to listen it to my computer????? and if i can how....thanks
the correct question should be for $3500.00 do u need a external daw for sequencing etc. as high tech as the board and as expensive, the price, u should be able to complete, a song.. for the exception of mastering of course..
this shows me how to create a song and play it back and listen to it. I recorded a bass track - I want to play piano to the bass track in real time for performances. How do I get to the piano sound if I have to be in sequencer mode to play the track?
Hello, I have an issue when recording on sequencer: I select a bass line on the track 1, I add cut off, resonaince and release, no problems recording, but when i change into track 2 to add another sound all the changes made to track 1 are lost. Is there any way to save the changes I made to the track 1 ? thanks already
Could you help out a subscriber who's stumped? I'm trying to sequence a song that's in 5/4 time. The window at the top next to METER just won't let me type those numbers in. I tried a method one helpful & skilled guy suggested, but NO LUCK! Could you spare a couple of minutes to help me?
I just got the KRONOS but i trying to get into the pattern sequencer mode.. meaning i want to make different pattern sections which makes up the full song which allow me to control each section of my progression... can you show that? thanks
I'm thinking about getting one and I'm coming from Motif ES6 don't laugh. Lol but I've been used to looping my drum patterns and separate tracks and then going back and recording each instrument/track till end of my songs. How difficult is it to do that with the Kronos
The touch screen on Korgs are a bitch ,you need a finger like a pencil .Sold my M3 because of that, plus its over complicated where it dont need to be .KORG let the Tech Geek do too much where the Musician should have Been
this may be the only clear kronos tutorial on the web!..thanx for taking it slow and showing everything you spoke about!

Your tutorials are amazing. And you helped me make a decision on purchasing the Kronos X. Thank you!!

Yup
Each track for each sound and each midi channel too. Of coz it can read midi tracks as well as Midifiles too.
Your love for music shows through dude....nice
interface! That's the cool part. To summarize, it's 16 MIDI tracks and AUDIO tracks that are countless depending on the capacity of your computer.
