Ah man, that brings it back. Back in the day, the rich kids from the big city had all Kuwahara race bikes. For some reason, the bike shops back then had majority Kuwahara product vs just about everything else. I had to pretend on a non-chroMo Norco - heavy as F, but dad wasn't rich, he did the best he could to get me a BMX - love him for that.
@@frankcampbell4144 Never did see too many Team Murray bikes up in my neck of the woods, but do remember seeing lots of their adds and promos in the BMX Action & BMX Plus magazines. Those publications were how most of us seen all of the cool expensive stuff & could only dream of it. Not like I was asking for a Hutch Pro Star, or a a Smoked/Black Chrome Harry Leary Diamond Back or anything. . . just a chromoly Kuwahara. Lol I did eventually end up buying myself a used Patterson when I was 20.
Really nice bike, great job. I dreamed of owning a Kuwa since E.T came out, but I was a poor kid lol. Finally got one of the 40th anniversary ones a couple years ago. Wish it was made in Japan but it is a nice bike either way.
This totally reminds me of My first kuwahara, an all white (factory?) the ET style Apollo 3 hole gusset frame, with white tange forks…chrome press in inserts with the identical decals. Nice bike bro… On that subject, do you know what my bike actually was, the serial number was E4I1077
Yo, RBB. I see a lot of your builds. Had me wondering which bike do you go out and thrash on? Seems like these are show bikes. What do you use for a daily driver?
Looks great! Really looking forward to the Blue Max build!
You and me both!

Beautiful bike. The mid 70's through the late 80's were awesome times for BMX.
Couldn't agree more!
