    I am a contract/real estate paralegal and I looked through their license agreement and came to the same conclusion you did: "standalone" is the operative word there. They repeatedly say throughout the document that you can't use their Pro graphics alone; you have to create something transformative.

    • @nabilmoughnagi
      @nabilmoughnagi Год назад

      What does that mean? It is also not necessary to put several pro graphics on the same design out of text, with the no obligation to add something different in order to create what they call a unique design!

    The person that posted in the Canva group kept reference Point 9 and numbers 10 and 12 under there. She is basically saying that you cannot upload it to a print company to reprint for you 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I wish Canva would hurry up and make a clear statement on this.

    • @therapydesigns6426

      Ok so looking at that they want to make sure that no one can download the individual (stand alone) elements. "made available in a manner such that a person can extract or access or reproduce the content as an electronic file" number 10, "use or display the Content in an electronic format that enables it to be downloaded, exported or distributed via mobile devices or shared in any peer-to-peer or similar file sharing arrangement" number 12. By selling a shirt with a printed design you created, no person can extract the original graphics used in the design. As I mentioned in the video, I have been using Canva primarily for my POD designs for over 2 years without any issue and do not anticipate any issues with my business going forward. To my knowledge, there have been no actions taken by Canva or its designers against any POD designer for the sale of their designs.

    • @colleencourt6203
      @colleencourt6203 Год назад

      The whole conversation got quite ridiculous. She was insinuating that employees from POD companies could extract the elements in your upload. A manager from Erank commented how ridiculous that was but she just kept going with her narrative.

      @@therapydesigns6426 That Jo lady said we couldn't use any graphics even if we changed it and if we download it and send it to another printing company, like redbubble it's considered file sharing. She also told ppl that when you email canva and they say you can she said not to listen to them. lol if you make the design and print yourself to a product that's ok. She confused a lot of people.

    Adding text below the image is not possible then? Now I started worry as I use their images on my youtube video to teach Thai lesson and I take the whole design as is and only add text or explaination below those images, nothing overlapping on the images though.

  • @MissMolly3377

    It seems everyone is glossing over the single use license, that is what needs to be addressed, if they don't change that, I wouldn't even bring in my own graphics or even use the fonts. I hope that Canva clears it up soon.

    • @therapydesigns6426
      @therapydesigns6426  Год назад

      So if you have a pro account you get a new license every time you use pro content. If you don't have a pro account then you have to pay for each pro element and if you want to use the same element in 2 different designs you would have to pay twice.

    Hey there! So just to confirm from what I am understanding from this video, is that as long as you combine for example, (images from their library, text, lines together ) it is considered as your own design? I understand you are not allowed to just plonk a stand-alone image and sell

    Informative though I’m confused about the standalone uses say I use one graphic element and combine it with itself creating a piece of art using multiple copies that overlap like a collage would that be considered a new design and my creation ?

  • @johnphazey3051
    @johnphazey3051 Год назад +1

    Do you think it would be ok to have text above and below a element even if the font is not overlapping the graphic

    • @therapydesigns6426
      @therapydesigns6426  Год назад +1

      I would still make some kind of alteration to the element. If you get really picky about what stand alone means, they say if you can crop out any graphic/photo in it's non altered state it is standing alone.

      I have many videos on my channel showing how to do a clipping mask but at the moment Canva does not do them so I use a site called photopea just for the clipping mask. It means covering the shape of something, a graphic or letter, with a picture or pattern.

    Hello kelly, I am very new to POD currently i am selling on etsy, very confusing how to add variations, for example different color different sizes, for example when the client pick a color i want the system to show the color , if it is red, i want it to show red , if the client pick green i want it to show green. Could you do a video for that? please ❤

    • @therapydesigns6426
      @therapydesigns6426  11 месяцев назад

      If you are using a third party print company such as printful, it will integrate with Etsy and automatically add all variants. If you do your own printing then you will need to do it all manually and have mockup photos for all colors. I do not currently have any videos on manual upload but I know there are several on youtube.

    • @therapydesigns6426
      @therapydesigns6426  Год назад

      I do not think that changing the colors on an editable image is enough to "make it your own" You must combine elements or alter the graphic by using photo effects. When in doubt, do more to change the original content.
