    The question I have if you go under duct work does the upright head follow the pipe or does it follow the upright head above?

      Hi John. If I understand your question correctly...
      you have to provide sprinklers under any obstruction over 4' in width (like some ducts). I typically provide the sprinklers midways duct width.
      Also keep in mind that you might need to sprinkler under ducts that fall under "obstruction" per NFPA 13 requirements, even if they are less than 4' in width
