  • Howdy. In today's video we meet Blair. My new custom Fairdale Weekender build. Thanks to Campus Wheelworks for helping me with the project. I absolutely love this bike, it's perfect. Hope you enjoy my first day on the bike and we skate the curbs the following morning. Also big thanks to Frontside Bag co. for the bag. Works great.

    I bought my weekender frame set back in 2016. Currently set up single speed. I had the 1.75 marathon plus but switched to some 33's one ride ago. Whoa! What a difference! Feels like a new bike.

      Heck yeah! Tires really make a world of difference. Haha.

    Heck yes!!! She’s a beauty. So glad you got new pedals. They look almost like my Odyssey Bmx‘. At the start of the video I was about to complain about the stock pedals 😅

      Haha yeah I need a big flat grippy pedal because I only wear janoski's, even on 50 mile rides. Haha. Maybe one day I'll go clipless. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      Excellent choice. I went with mtb-style clips and back. I am much more about the Louie-Lopez-skate-fit-for-biking vibe even for long rides like you.

    Sweet bike; yeah going custom build from the start lets you dial in fit much easier.

      And save on parts. 99% of people swap out seats and bars, it's such a waste. Unless you donate them or something.

    Niiiice, glad you have the bike of your dreams! You should. try a back blunt to fakie backside 50-50 on the opposite side of the curb.

    Do people steal bikes frequently in Buffalo? I'd be so bummed to lose my dream bike

    • @KevinNiceTry
      @KevinNiceTry  26 дней назад +1

      Unfortunately they steal bikes in any major city. Thankfully I keep mine indoors at work and home and I have my old bike for groceries and if I plan on locking it up in public for an extended period of time. I'll still lock the new one up if I run into a coffee shop or something fast and I can keep an eye on it hahaha.

    12:26 your brake caliper needs to move a few mm outwards. It shouldn't touch the rotor "spokes" (don't know what is called).
