Greetings from California. As a young man visiting family in N.O. drove thru St.Bernard to Shell Beach, then way down thru Plaquemines Parish many years ago (1970s!). Thanks for bringing back many pleasant memories & good luck with future trips.
Another great local drive out of you guys. The tree canopy at 4:50 remains one of the first "landmarks" I think of from my two visits to the area. You don't see scenery like that in my part of the country and it continues to fascinate me today.
Another fine preservation on the New Orleans area. I salute you for continuing to include historical notes in your videos because they add another dimension to them that is often missing in similar videos.
Richard Felstead that’s a freight line that carries stuff from the foreign ships up the road. Probably a lot of oil tankers on that line too. Can’t say I’ve ever seen a train on those tracks, although I’ve never really frequented that area much.
It’s called the tunnel of love thank joe mereaux for that you start kissing yo girl or yo boy when you enter and don’t stop till you come out born and raised in violet

That area has gone through a lot of changes since the 70s. There's been a lot of development and then destruction, and then redevelopment since then.

Thanks for another great video. I haven’t been down that way in a long time.
I had an Uber rider one time from Chalmette to end of the world down there. I thought we were going to shell Beach. U shoulda started at shell beach.
Didn't have enough time, but I will next time I'm down there. I'd do Shell Beach going the other way though.
504RoadTrips for sure. Arabi to shell beach. Put it on your calendar.
Another enjoyable drive. As I live in Australia , I'd love to visit NOLA. Plenty of railway track but no train ( boo hoo).
