Alfa Romeo 156 Coloni S1

The unique Coloni S1 Alfa Romeo 156 Silhouette racer in GT Invitational race at Killarney, Cape Town. The South African crowds were privileged to see the Coloni race, as few in the world have. The pilot was Jan Lammers, who was driving very carefully in order not to damage a one-off piece of history.
Powered by a mid-mounted normally aspirated 3.0 Busso V6 Alfa Romeo engine, that can rev to 10,000 rpm. (The TV description is incorrect, take note). Please feel free to talk about that engine in the comments and why it can rev so high. Are the cambelts split into shorter units connected by extra pulleys?

Truly epic sounding engine. Even better to hear in real life. And you cannot believe how that 3.0 engine revs. I saw it racing at Zwartkops, where I took the pictures of the engine and so on.

Great video. I think the cambelt is one as original... you can see the little pulley at the centre between the heads.
