  • A look back at Amtrak starting with a Special train from Chicago to the Quad Cities called Rails to the River. After that Amtrak in Galesburg with trains on BN and the Santa Fe, Pepsi Cans in the mix a name given to Amtrak's B40-8W's back in that time period. Thanks for watching, comment like and subscribe.

    I lived right across the street from the old CB&Q RR in Ottumwa and saw Amtrak everyday I miss it Jeff, good video thanks!❤️🙏🇺🇸

    I can remember Amtrak running through my little Indiana town when I was a kid in the '80'S it would scare me to death how fast they would go by if I had to guess how fast they were going I'd have to say at least 70 to 80 mph

    Amtrak trains could be lengthy during the years they used the Material Handling Cars. One of them here - 17 cars. They were still using old Santa Fe El Capitan cars here.

      First unit was 292, second one couldn’t tell you.
