This is so awesome
Thank you for sharing. Great workflow! It would be interesting to know what happens next. I mean how jam "moves into" usable loop/phrase creation.
Thanks! A lot of the time I'll just play around until I find something I like, and then go from there. Sometimes I program a specific set of rules for the midi to follow and just let it run. Vol. 1 of my Ambient Singles Series has a lot of tracks that were programmed this way.
Good
please can you help me.. Can I connect my Norns directly into my laptop over usb and input midi information that way? Struggling to connect it
I've never tried doing it that way, if it does work then you should see the device listed in the midi submenu (SYSTEM > DEVICES > MIDI). If Norns recognizes your laptop you'll have to select it from that menu.
Awesome technique. I learned a bunch..if I remember is another story. Is Norns and Loom best suited for programmers? It seems to be a segmented world accessible only to those who 'get it'.
But I loved the concept of having my Daw being the instrument and not just the box I
programmers love it for things definitely. but Maiden makes it easy to install scripts and after that its playtime. plug in a grid or arc if you have one, midi controller or whatever and make music.
