I've only been on the channel for about 6 months, and it has been a very educational and rewarding experience -- on multiple levels. Your faith is not my faith, but I respect how you express yours without "pushing" it on me. When I was a kid and they passed the plates to take up the collection, Reverend Chase used to quote part of Matthew 5:16 -- "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works." For me, that pretty well sums up 731.
Beautiful message at the end. “Never seen a U-haul behind a hurst”. Joy comes from the Lord. Amen! Congratulations on everything and thank you for your content 🙏🏼.
From serving the public 13 yrs as a State Trooper to one of the fastest growing woodworker youtubers out there, you truly have a servant's heart. J.O.Y. DOES come from the Lord: J.esus 1st O.thers 2nd Y.ou 3rd 10,000 blessings to you my friend! Keep on!
I recently found your channel and greatly enjoy the content. My grandfather became a skilled woodworker once he retired, but passed away when I was too young to glean from his knowledge. Now that I am older, I’m happy to find the guidance and instruction needed to grow my confidence in beginner woodworking from you and other creators. Thank you for sharing your builds and explaining how some of these tools work/can be used. Lastly, what I really respect about you is being bold in expressing your faith. I love seeing the shirts you wear, hearing the love and respect for your wife, and proclaiming where true joy comes from. Amen Brother! Be encouraged, stay confident and continue to trust you are exactly where He needs you to be.
Stand tall buddy! Sure a blessing to see and hear anyone willing to stand up and share their faith. Enjoy what you do and appreciate the tour. Gonna be useful on my new shop build plans.
Preach brother. At the end of the day, I can replace "stuff" I mean it would not be fun or cheap, lol. But your family or what we ( my wife and I) call our team. Cannot be replaced. Keep up the good work and thank you for being real. I also like the way you show your mistakes because there is only one that is perfect. It also lets me know that my project will most likely have issues. because and the end of the day the lord has blessed you with a gift. I like the way you keep that out front. I also know that I don't know you personally but from what I see in the up to 2 hours a week out of the 168 you are solid. keep up the good work and we will keep praying for you and your team.
Matt you are such a positive inspiration I love watching your videos and each time I rewatch them I learn a little bit more I can't wait to put your plans I bought over a year ago into action. Thank you so much for being so unapologetic about your relationship with Christ.
I noticed your "John 3:15" mallet and your "In God we Trust" hat and thought wow, this guy must be a believer. Then you brought it all home at the end when you talked about the end of life and that your joy comes from the Lord! I'm so glad that you are bold enough and not ashamed to talk about your faith. I immediately subscribed after hearing your testimony, God bless you from a fellow believer!
I just recently found your channel and really appreciate your videos. Thanks for the uplifting words. I do astrophotography when I'm not in my workshop. Keep up the good work.
AWESOME BROTHER! been following you for a year or better, and I love the content. most importantly I apprciate you Faith! so good to see the Lord blessing you! Ive love woodworking for many years, finally started a shop an am currently outfitting it. you are a big help. thanks and keep up the good work!!
We say it all the time my gal and I..where glad we found you ! You make woodworking more interesting and I was so pleased your tool description was so thorough..where glad you've separated from the pack Thank you
For the Huskey tool chest, you could add a little rubber piece to the door like they put on other doors to block the gap and keep dust out... But, you did say dust doesn't really get in there, so the other idea is you could add a cool sticker or graphic to the door so when its closed it could be a neat backdrop to the video. Though, the tools and the you tube counter also look cool on video. And, as a fellow "finder of true joy in The Story" I appreciate seeing that aspect of your video and keeping that an active aspect of all parts of your life!
Your shop organization is great, thanks for showing us. When I saw your drill press I couldn't help but comment that you have got to get you a Nova Viking drill press - guaranteed to be the coolest piece of equipment you have seen in a long time, very useful and accurate too.
He who dies with the most tools wins, right? 😉 Great video! You've been a huge inspiration as I go through a career change and move into woodworking. Thanks for all you do!
I tell ya matt you have straight showed me the way brotha lol.,just wanna say thank you..with your help my shop is slowly gettin there..thank you ......
I find it funny(yes, I know I'm a beginner) when I see content creating woodworkers with a bunch of tools. When I saw that this Mr. has *2* Festool dust extractors, I went nuts! 😂
love all of your videos, have been watching for awhile. thank you for all the tips and tricks, i especially enjoy the reviews on things i always knew you walked with the lord, and loved the way you never mentioned or talked about it, and now i am happy that you finally did mention it!! cheers
Really enjoyed this video! I think you have a gift of acknowledging the gifts and talents God’s entrusted you with! Seeing you being a good steward of that and giving Him the glory inspires me! Keep going dude! -Moses Cho
You got me when you said that your true happiness is with God. Love it brother. I follow alot of Carpenters/woodworkers on RUclips etc... I am always thinking are they just trying to sell me tools because of sponsership or because they favor one not the other.I have seen a few of your videos and this one I came across hit home. The fact that you were honest about what you have and that no matter how cool the stuff you have, you cannot take it with you is an awesome view alot of people on youtube do not share.I get discouraged at times when I see the festools, and 6 to 700 dollar miter saws that I cannot afford, and think is that what would make me a better carpenter/wood worker. I then look at my projects and see how they are Inferior to those I see everyone else make.Your projects and accomplishments are awe inspiring and now with this video I could say I am good at what I do. I see your Sincerity and actual honestly refreshing to my views. i see how you are not like the others and actually just want to help people learn this trade. I am a 48 year old production planner and my side love is carpentary. I really started getting more into it in the past two yearts and recently built a custom ottoman for my house. I could now honestly say it came out really good. I am remodeling the pantry for my wife now. The ottomen inspired me to create more, but you have inspired me to accept my work as good. Thank you for that. By the way I love my belief in GOD as well. Thank you so much brother. I will be watching all your videos from now on. 😊
As someone who is just getting into woodworking, and a full-time pastor, I really appreciate your content, especially closing with your joy coming from the Lord. Thank you, God bless you, keep up the good work!
I don’t know if you are aware of this. Regarding lifting your drill press out of the cabinet, there is a product for lifting heavy mixmasters to counter level from under kitchen cabinet storage. I don’t know how heavy your drill press is, but all I’ve seen will easily lift 45 lbs.and there some that lift 60 lbs. I’ve seen pricing from $95 to $450. There is a Rev-a -shelf model RAS-ML-HDCL that costs $140 that seems very sturdy. I am the Queen for finding alternate uses for things, so I offer this suggestion if you are interested.
Hey Matt. I agree them benchtop drill presses are heavy, especially the 10 inch versions. I have the newest wen drill press that is 5 amp. I found it is much more powerful than the 3amp version. but the thing is heavy! I can't wait to see you make a cart for yours. I love how your garage setup keeps evolving . 👊
It looks great man, a million times better than a year ago. One recommendation, just cuz it worked for me. I use Kizan foam for everything. Not only does it protect my tools in my cases, I have to be organized cuz I have to put stuff back to where it goes. I get more comments on my stuff being so organized than some of my coolest tools.
Hola! 🖐Really like the video. So nice to see the growth of your shop and your channel. Wishing you continued success and growth. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊
Great video as ever , well done, have found a few useful ideas so THANKS 👍🏻, in return couple of thoughts that might help The air gap in the hutch tool store , try adding some foam pipe insulation tube cut a slit open with box cutter and should just slide on the edge of slider door to help seal the gap, also for the very deep drawers, would you consider insetting a shallow drawer inset for top half of the drawer to make more usable space . Hope that helps 😉 Keep up the good work 💪🏻
Dear Sir I am writing to you to tell you that you have been a blessing to me and the reason why you are, is your heart. I am a 67 year old man that loves to listen to Christian hearted people. You can feel the trust in their heart. You and your wifey are awesome. I wanted you to know that I watch you on RUclips on my tv, so I can’t comment on things . Thank you for teaching me and your honesty about woodworking.
You have done very well over the past 3 years that I've been following the channel. Think you were around 60-70k subs at the time! Won't be the least bit surprised if you end up with a dedicated building away from the house in the next few years.
I'm getting into woodworking. Maybe for a side job, maybe just to learn new skills. I want to tell you how refreshing it is to see and hear someone who is upfront about the power of Christ in their life. I'm 70 and retired as a pastor two years ago. I've appreciate your builds and life. Peace brother.
AMEN! We won't be taking anything with us to Heaven. I love woodworking but the Lord is my heart. Love watching your videos. You are doing and amazing job! God Bless!
Great video. Good to see anything positive about benchtop jointers. I started building guitars a few years ago and the ONLY benchtop jointer I could get was the Craftsman one (every other brand was literally sold out due to global shortage), and it gets the job done. The price was about the same as 1 good hand plane, and I needed something to make necks and body blanks.
This is cool and inspiring, I have a 1 car 12x20 garage that I have to share all my mechanical related tools along with my wood working stuff.. too much diy stuff for such a little space😂
The one comment you made about dust collection making the shop cleaner overall finally got me into getting a collector. Now I am pereplexed on how to use it. Should I leave it in a strategic location or make it a tactical weapon against dust. Great video, you are doing a great job and I enjoy watching your tools videos.
I work in a single car garage and we store our summer outdoor furniture in it. I make sure everything is put away well. Gives me lots of room but there's definitely room for improvement. Glad to see how far you have come. I always enjoy watching your videos
Nice shop! Just found your site and am enjoying it. Love your shirts too. I have done a few videos on RUclips using things in the wood shop as illustrations for lessons in Gods Word. The Word from the Woodshop is the name I use. Keep up the good work.

Joy comes from the Lord. Amen!
Congratulations on everything and thank you for your content 🙏🏼.
I enjoyed the video. Especially, the closing. To put it simply, “The Lord be with you!”
Best ending to a shop tour! Be blessed, brother!!

Love the last Message at the end. May Lord Bless you and your family.
It’s cool seeing how far you’ve come Matt, and you’ve stayed humble and true to your mission!
Keep up the good work brother!!
I appreciate that!

We all start somewhere... in five years, I can only wish to have your kinda setup! Thx for all the great video's Matt!
Praise God for you and Amy!
AMEN Brother!!! Thank you for the ending perspective that we both share!!!
Love seeing the evolution! Reminds me of how satisfying it will be to have my own shop instead of my bedroom one day.
The ending was by far my favorite part of the video. Thanks for sharing!
Stand tall buddy! Sure a blessing to see and hear anyone willing to stand up and share their faith. Enjoy what you do and appreciate the tour. Gonna be useful on my new shop build plans.
It's always great to see adults with the mental capacity of children who believe in fairy tales acknowledging each other.
Great job Matt. My joy comes from the same source…God! Keep doing what you are doing. Very proud for you!
Well done on remembering where your joy comes from! Appreciate you and your openness about your faith. Stand firm
You’re an inspiration, brother. Thank you for being bold. Keep it up!
Your gym/workshop is so sick. Definitely some good inspiration for me
Excellent video Matt. Most especially with how you ended it. Important words that I hope no one misses. God bless!
Thank you
Preach brother.
Neat video. Thanks. Best part was the "you can't take it with you." "Never seen a uHaul behind a hearse." Everything else was super.
Thank you for using your channel and platform to share your faith. God bless you and your family!
Matt you are such a positive inspiration I love watching your videos and each time I rewatch them I learn a little bit more I can't wait to put your plans I bought over a year ago into action. Thank you so much for being so unapologetic about your relationship with Christ.
That is one of the biggest two car garages I've ever seen! I could fit about half as much usable workspace in my two car garage. Thanks for sharing.
lol it’s only a 20’x20’
I noticed your "John 3:15" mallet and your "In God we Trust" hat and thought wow, this guy must be a believer. Then you brought it all home at the end when you talked about the end of life and that your joy comes from the Lord! I'm so glad that you are bold enough and not ashamed to talk about your faith. I immediately subscribed after hearing your testimony, God bless you from a fellow believer!
I just recently found your channel and really appreciate your videos. Thanks for the uplifting words. I do astrophotography when I'm not in my workshop. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the tour may God bless you and your family
Amen, brother. Thanks for the tour.
Almost forgot!! ...I absolutely LOVE how you pointed out everything you’ve built recently!
Loved the witness at the end!
Love your content! I'm looking to revamp my workshop. Thought I thought of everything until I saw this video. Lol back to the drawing board

Wow, you have a full 2 car garage? How luxurious.
We say it all the time my gal and I..where glad we found you ! You make woodworking more interesting and I was so pleased your tool description was so thorough..where glad you've separated from the pack

I love the fact that you are spiritual 👍
Your shop organization is great, thanks for showing us. When I saw your drill press I couldn't help but comment that you have got to get you a Nova Viking drill press - guaranteed to be the coolest piece of equipment you have seen in a long time, very useful and accurate too.
I'm glad the Grizzly mobile base is working out for you. I found it to be the best bang for the buck.
I almost didn’t watch to the end. Glad I did because you saved the best for last. Keep sharing the message brother. God bless you and your family. 💙

The air gap in the hutch tool store , try adding some foam pipe insulation tube cut a slit open with box cutter and should just slide on the edge of slider door to help seal the gap,
also for the very deep drawers, would you consider insetting a shallow drawer inset for top half of the drawer to make more usable space .
Hope that helps 😉 Keep up the good work 💪🏻
Amen brother. Love the video.
Wow. You went from 30 - 1000 after you got that CNC. I remember your stations from several months ago. It's MILES different now--congratulations!
Loved this video thanks for sharing how your work space is.
"I've never seen a U-Haul trailer behind a hearse."
Sometimes you simply crack me up 😅😅😅😅
You have done very well over the past 3 years that I've been following the channel. Think you were around 60-70k subs at the time! Won't be the least bit surprised if you end up with a dedicated building away from the house in the next few years.
My favorite show❣️🙏🏻
I'm getting into woodworking. Maybe for a side job, maybe just to learn new skills. I want to tell you how refreshing it is to see and hear someone who is upfront about the power of Christ in their life. I'm 70 and retired as a pastor two years ago. I've appreciate your builds and life. Peace brother.
I have the same grizzly stand on my older ridgid ts2424 table saw and my bandsaw. I love them! Amazing quality for the price 👍🏻👍🏻
Brother, shops are always a WIP...lol. Thanks for what you do and keep posting more content.
Thanks! Will do!
lol, the chuckle after he says "Playing on the internet..." What you searching for? 🤣
oh the good old days
I work in a single car garage and we store our summer outdoor furniture in it. I make sure everything is put away well. Gives me lots of room but there's definitely room for improvement. Glad to see how far you have come. I always enjoy watching your videos
Just found the channel. Great content, easy sub. God bless you and your familiy. 💪
Nice shop! Just found your site and am enjoying it. Love your shirts too. I have done a few videos on RUclips using things in the wood shop as illustrations for lessons in Gods Word. The Word from the Woodshop is the name I use. Keep up the good work.
