I don't see how Namco isn't taking advantage of the fact that their beat 'em up modes could serve as standalone games. They perfected the formula with T4 Tekken Force, T5 Devil Within, T6 Scenario Campaign, and Urban Reign. With that in mind, I'd definitely love if more Tekken characters got their own spin-off like Nina did, but with a good control system similar to the games I mentioned.

Yoshimitsu was such a fun character to play in this game. Me and a friend had a theory back when we religiously played Tekken 3 that, since most (if not all) characters used to fight others that had some kind of relationship/rivalry with them, the "Yoshimitsu" that we fight against in Stage 1 is supposed to represent Kunimitsu, after she failed to retrieve Yoshimitsu's sword at the end of the second tournament, with an incomplete replica of the sword to honor her (probably deceased) grandfather's dream. Nowadays I don't think it's the case anymore. I simply see it as Yoshimitsu fighting his inner demon or calling back to a fight with his previous Manji Clan leader for the title. Anyway, I think it was fun to speculate on the game's elements and find answers for the "why's" we would find in it. This TAS brought good memories of those days.

As kids, we loved Yoshimitsu but we always complained how he "has a cool lightsaber but never uses it except to kill himself". We knew very few of these moves and we couldn't even do them all consistently. I think I once did the life-steal move, but it pumped my own life into the enemy, so I never used it. We knew about the harakiri move, but we didn't know you could avoid the self-damage and we almost never managed to hit the enemy with it, so again, we didn't use it.
It was cool on yoshimitsu's ending when him and Dr. B experimented a lab rat that ate some toxic slime and yoshimitsu come out there running carrying Dr.B on his side and the huge rat bust out the building.😂
