Glad you went to see the Queen of K-pop! She always like to tease that it’s her last song 🤣 But she has one official encore in the end (when she wears her casual clothes). It’s much shorter in America because of strict rules about concert time, but her actual encores are really long in Korea. Her longest concert there was 5 hrs and 30 min.
I was there! I actually blame you for my IU fandom (thank you). I discovered her music after watching your Shopper reaction video and was hooked. And just in time for her first ever U.S tour dates :) K-pop is not my jam, but IU is something special. Incredible show. Still in awe. 3 hours that went by way too fast. Post-concert depression hit hard for a few days afterwards.
I love this, I also went to see her in NYC and WASHINGTON DC. I have no regret at all, IU vocals are perfect. she sang all my songs but, really wanted to hear Love Poem .
Hey John, thanks for sharing your experience. I am also a Band-Maid and IU fan. Was on the Berlin concert of IU and it was amazing. I hope Band-Maid comes to europe again at some point. Then I would have seen my favorite single artist and my favorite band. Cheers Martin
You've been to an IU concert, and I'm jealous. IU is known for her long concerts, and she wants to give her fans as many more songs as her health and schedule allow, because she feels it's her way of giving back the love she's received from her fans. Since the concert was outside of Korea, she probably wasn't feeling 100% due to jet lag, but she gave her best to her fans. IU probably did multiple encores because she knew that her overseas fans don't get to see her often. She's an honest and caring person.
Had to watch this again! Caught some things I didn’t notice the first time because of the live chat. Hope that random guy in the restroom was nice to you, John. Thanks again for this vlog. I enjoyed it a lot! It was nice to see the lovely Joyce, too!
Awesome you made the IU concert, I wanted to go, but tickets were more than I could spend after already buying tickets for Tool, Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, and Everglow concerts this year lol. I did that Chicago architecture tour about 15 years ago, it was very cool, but we didn’t get to go on the lake with the tour, so that’s awesome.
You mentioned reflecting on your last visit to Chicago for the Agust D concert and the changes between then and now - I would like to point out though that Joyce is eternal. 😁 She got us all together for Korean BBQ before the last concert and now she's the cruise director. 🤣 I'm glad you had a good time!
Omg I found myself in the audience in your concert footage. I realized it was the back of my head when I saw my hair bow and the girl who almost hit my mom in the face with a lightstick
omg i never thought you'd go to her concert. i didn't think IU was a genre of music that you would like.😂😂😂😂in Korea, some people are still devaluing her world tour😢😢😢
It's great to see you vlog in ma city and IU's concert. I was there too... Anyway, when you were at the Millenium Park, I wish you had waited to see the guys in the fountain wall spit out water. It happens i think once every 5 or 10 minutes. And did you get a chance to see the Pritzker Pavilion across from and east of The Bean? Also, there is the Water Tower, just a couple blocks away from the John Hancock Bldg. Nevertheless, I was happy to see you showcase a lot of downtown Chicago. There is still a lot for you to explore when you come next time to the windy city.
NICE! a little Van Halen while eating some fried foods. 🤘Love that you're in my neck of the woods, tamales on the shores of Lake Michigan, I live just a few blocks from it.
@@JohnReavesLive I'm a little north of Chicago on the lake. I'll be heading to the city to see Atarashii Gakko with my daughter in October at the Aragon Ballroom. Yes, the lake gulls are little bastards 😆 nothing safe around them, not even small children.
I've gone to a few concerts by myself and it's actually quite enjoyable for me at least. I understand this doesn't work for everyone and it also depends on your age but I've seen a lot of people who said they would feel weird going by themselves but it's not bad at all. When you are at a concert everyone is like family. At the last concert I went to by myself I talked with another fan who was also there by herself and we talked for a bit before the concert started.
Thanks for the video. I saw her in NJ, and it was amazing. If you liked her rock version of Holsi - be sure to check this rock version of her debut song, lost child, that she did at her 10th anniversary concert. The ending will leave you speechless. ruclips.net/video/W-ByGiHvC-8/видео.htmlsi=LXapAl8dH4u7MdtG
Odd question but at the start of the video, are you using a Final Fantasy XIV song? I play the game and I am pretty sure it is. Do you play it or was it just a song you found? I love to visit Chicago, been there twice for BTS concerts. Glad you enjoyed the concert and the city.

@@HollyGolightly-lo5ez I LOVED her many Encores lol it was so different for me and after watching her on Suga’s talk show it all makes sense!!

I thought she was huge in South Korea?

Lol that's Prelude, its in almost every Final Fantasy game from 1 onwards...
@@lukekarts well my brain links it to 14 more because I can’t play the other ones, but yeah Final Fantasy at the end yes
