Think this may be the ONLY canon love-pairing with an actual physical display of affection deeper than a hug in the entire Tales series.
charcharmunr there is tales of hearts R where the main character Kor meteor kisses the main heroine kohaku in the final cutscene of the game where they finally admit their love for each other
If you want to go outside the main games and into the territory of other adaptations, Lloyd straight-up kisses the still-soulless Colette on the lips in the eighth episode of the ToS OVA.

Marta had a very interesting arc. She started as a lovestruck fangirl only to see that her fantasy boy was both more pathetic and more terrifying than she ever realized, and instead came to love who he was.

As someone who loves Marta for her design and outgoing nature and all I had always loved this scene and this ship. This game wasn't a ToS but I still love it regardless.
Emil and Marta, truly among the best couples there is in the Tales series. Also, personally, Johnny Yong Bosch and Laura Bailey did amazingly as them.

Ok, I forgot to mention that in my personal opinion, Emil and Marta are among my favorite couples, perhaps feeling underrated in the Tales series. Not sure how you feel, I know they may have faults and problems in on them (and of course Emil feels a bit annoying), but in my personal choices and view, Emil and Marta are among my favorite Tales couples and I feel they are underrated. That's just on me.
Shinku Kirito Ichika No, it's good you like them. I liked them when I was younger, but then I saw a lot of negative comments on them and a part of me agrees, but I don't want to hate them. For instance, Marta genuinely falls in love with Emil at the end, but she has her after battle quotes making it seem weird and contradictory, unless she's just playfully messing with him by endgame.

It's pretty much at the very end, just before you go off to the final place.
Loved this scene though. Some people find each of characters annoying sometimes, but I never really did. Both these characters really grow on you and you actually really start to care about them and what happens to them.
Don't listen to reviews yotube. If you liked the first game, you'll love this one, without a doubt. Just buy it.

I have to say that this has to be one of my favorite pairings in any kind of media.
And I'm not just saying that because the Tales of series is my favorite series outside of a Nintendo franchise.
In fact, it's my number two favorite serious with Pokemon being the first.
Now if only Namco would give us Vesperia PS3 and some of the spin-offs. (Heroes, VS., etc.) Although I know that most of them aren't really their fault.

You know, literally ten minutes before I got to this part in the game, my brother and I were discussing how Tales of games are giving fans more and more fan-service - from the ending of Tales of the Abyss to some of the scenes in Flanoir in this game. I joked, "Well, next we just need a kiss! ;D" and continuously said I wouldn't be pleased unless we got something like it from Emil and Marta.
But I never dreamed I'd get my wish. :DDDD YAY.

Emil sounds like Renton and Ratatosk sounds like Ichigo because they are all voiced by the same person: Johnny Yong Bosch.
Truly, one of the best scenes in the game, this scene and Zelos calling Alice a "little bitch" are part of what made DotNW the best game I ever played

Took me a while to get to this part, though. You know what was keeping me from seeing all the romantic goodness? EXAMINING THAT FREAKING LLOYD STATUE IN LUIN.

I was lucky to get this game. I love an action or badass main protagonist game like FF VII, but i love more games (or story) that involve love in the story. And plus, actually i like more the story with a weak protagonist. Thats because the story will have a great character development and it feels more natural and more realistic to me. And on top of all that, a romantic story with clear relationship. This game definitely one of the best games ive ever played

no, people hate it because the gameplay and story are worse, Lloyd was never a badass, he was frankly the worst part of symphonia, other than how frustratingly easy it was, the only tales game i ever beat on hard without a single game over, hes a generic character in a game full of standouts like Genis and Regal

This event takes place in chapter 8.
Everyone in the old cast has new voice actors, with the exception of Colette and Kratos. Online credits should be taken with a grain of salt. There is no way of knowing for sure who voiced who because the voice actors are not listed in the game's ending credits. It sounds pretty obvious to me that everyone has new VAs except

Cuando me enteré que iban a sacar un Tales of Symphonia 2, me imaginaba un gran juego. Pero al ver que saldrían nuevos personajes...supe que no iba a ser genial y asi fue. Es parecido a cuando anunciaron Digimon Tri, causó mucha felicidad. Pero al igual que en este TOS ponen a nuevos personajes y todo gira en torno a ellos...hubieran mejor creado otro Tales of en lugar de ser secuela del TOS. Los originales los dejan en segundo plano y no es justo
