This was super cool to try out. Finally Silver and Metal Sonic is back in the 1st riders! Chaos is a nice addition as well. The super forms on each character has different abilities, like Super Amy can only do speed and power routes, but her drift is insane.
I kinda wish the rings were used as air instead. So, the air can't be upgradrd, and can't be refiled by tricks while also slowly counting down, BUT rings refill it. As a result, however, you get to use the fun abilities.
So many hours of my child hood playing this game. I still rock out to some of the Riders music in the car, soundtrack still slaps today. So awesome seeing the fans do more with it. Will defiantly play this when I gets released.

So now I'm hoping that only the characters from Zero Gravity will be here, but also Billy Hatcher and Samba de Amigo will appear too. I loved their inclusion in Zero Gravity. I like how Splash Canyon is now Green Hill Zone too. The Super Forms are looking awesome and the alternate skins for the characters are neat. I hope this game is compatible for Nintendon't because my PC sucks. This project is looking really good.
If they add E-123 Omega playable into it then I will accept to play and test it for the first time because I don't see why we should only have Shadow and Rouge playable but not Omega when we know Omega is one of the most important characters in the Team Dark.
That would be awesome, but it might take a while since Omega was not even on Zero Gravity, they'll have to create him entirely from the ground up in Riders
I love to see that sonic rider as a game is getting more than it deserves after 30 years in the making and it's still a fan favorite racing game that revolutionized racing games as we speak

I love the balancing and extras on this build, but I really wish there was a more "vanilla" version. I don't like how they took away alot of the style in the texture pack (splash canyon is the most obvious) I wish they'd have the regular music by default and only change it if you hold a button on start. The option is nice, but having to hold a button for the default music is annoying.
the texture pack is completely optional and separate from the mod itself. You can also remove or replace any individual texture you don't like with a bunch made by the community. Also funny you mentioned splash cause that will get a whole new rework in the 2.0 version of the pack. (this video uses the one from last year hence why elements related to new features are still SD). That being said as the guy who is in charge of the texture pack, I don't care to keep it faithful to vanilla nor do I intend to create a separate vanilla accurate version so idk if you'll be happy with it anyway.

I like the animation in the menu screen on corner, it would be nice to have a fan made Sonic Riders cartoon, other than that, this is definitely awesome
Textures are completely seperate from the mod so dont worry about that. There are also a ton of textures made by random community members that are not included in our texture pack.
I love the character roster but there are one or two characters missing, those being Beat and Gum from Jet Set Radio. They'd be right at home in a game like this, especially their Jet Set Radio Future incarnations, but other then those two I think the roster looks really good.
Bro this brings back so much memories of playing this game but this modded version is amazing I want this game but it’s sad how the people who mod games are better than the game developers 😂😂💯

Just personal preference but the original riders music is much better for the stages. Wish i could play this, i went back to the original riders on my ps2 a few weeks ago and unlocked super sonic, it was actually pretty hard
If you press the D-pad during the loading screen you can actually select up to 4 tracks. The originals are there as well. (at least in some of the stages I know they were)

Here’s one thing the should be improved the most in the original Sonic Riders. In the infamous scene where Sonic sucks Amy Rose and Eggman in a tornado, even if that happens in the remake, they can talk about like mature adults as a moment for their character development rather than let Amy Rose make Sonic look like he’s more vile than her own kidnapper (Eggman) and female rivals (even Fiona Fox in the Archie Comics).
@@malimaui2802 cause its easier and more of a formalized team than the others from sonic heroes. its not like theres a game called sonic & rose about sonic alongisde team rose like there is with knuckles chaotix.
Now I just want to play Sonic Riders at least a mod is able to remember Hyper Sonic, Super Tails and Super Knuckles while the actual company doesn’t remember those forms

In many cases they were the slower path, BUT they allowed you to regain air, avoid attacks and avoid falling off edges. Now that the shortcuts are sped up, being on the ground is objectively *bad* while being on the grind rail is objectively *good* . The balance is ruined.
Increasing the players base speed was also a mistake. Now there’s little reason to boost because you simply couldn’t control your character if you were going any faster in most areas. This trivializes the air mechanic since nobody will ever run out of air.
@@snfn1562 I explained in my first comment. The benefits of the shortcuts are balanced with the downside of going slower or not getting the little item pods. Shortcuts are not supposed to be a strict upgrade. Sometimes they even require less skill since you don’t have to worry about doing sharp turns, falling off the edge or being hit by other players attacks/tornadoes. If you speed up the shortcuts you make them completely broken. Skilled players would have no reason to take a different path, which makes half of the level a useless vestige.
wow i don't know about you but if this game comes to fruition i will definitely play it as many times as i want. not to mention the characters look amazing. I'm sorry if i sound exaggerated, it's just that i really liked that game since my childhood and adolescence. so i will look forward to this sonic fan game.
as a really great fan of sonic riders (that then became awfull for my guess in the sequels) seeing this fanremake really warms my heart as soon as it will be done i think i willl insta download it not only cause i loved sonic riders and it filled my youth but cause the ammount of effort that a bunch of fans put in the remake of one game and making it even better that the actual creators of the game could is just heartwarming. ps: i do hope u wanna manage maybe to make some new map like i'm not demending, the remkae of the maps is already outstanding but if in any case u think of making new map how about the one from maybe star racing as well, i think it could be possible to make them for riders approval by adding some rail,smasshable object or flying pattern but other than that the game is already good looking

I love how Super Knuckles and Super Tails doesn't even look like that of Sonic Heroes. They just make all the characters able to go super.

What is name of the version of Wilderness (Golden Axe Level 1 Theme) for the Sky Road? I tried to look it up in youtube, so far no luck finding it.
