    Ben, have you tried barefoot shoes? If not, I can really recommend them. Maybe not with a 25kg bag but for sure with a 15kg bag. I use em for running and hiking (for everything really), never get blisters or sore feet and they dry in a couple of min when they get wet.

      Hi Kimz, I think I've heard of them, but never tried them. I feel like I would need extra cushioning for my feet, considering the weight I'm carrying. That said, when I did Mount Feathertop with Alexis, I wore runners and that was fine. Can't remember my pack weight, but it would likely have been in the realm. I'll have to check them out :)

    Get some better shoes with rock plate. Ie Hoka speed goat or altra lone peak
