      Sensory overload occurs when the brain is overwhelmed by an excessive amount of sensory input, making it difficult to process and respond to the environment effectively. This can happen when too many stimuli-such as loud noises, bright lights, strong smells, or crowded spaces-are encountered at once, or when certain sensory inputs are particularly intense.
