Ahhh a memory from about 1976 by watching this. I had a rather large military heli, half the size of whatever a 6 year old kid is, where a mechanical button thing was pressed at the side to spin up the rotors. i was convinced that if it was pressed fast enough the heli might lift off !
hi grandad, just wondering if you can use that string pullback motor and make a car out of it, dont think u have a video of a car like that tho? would be a nice idea to use that for a project car?
I am not quite sure what you mean. The motor is shown in detail from around 2:36 onwards. If you mean to convert it to an electric motor, that really isn't worth the effort,
Just a thought... could you find / make a clockwork mechanism light and powerful enough to actually lift itself off the ground? Something like a clockwork helicopter or airplane.
I doubt it. The spring on it's own is a significant weight and I would think that gives you an immediate power to weight ratio failure. I haven't seen any RUclips videos on the subject and I haven't found any doing Google searches. There are plenty of clockwork toy planes but none of them actually fly.
Lots of gears for just £1. I love poundland. Thanks for the detailed disassembly

😊
try making it fly or just turning it into a fan
Why people don't understand that these cheap toys can not fly, they are simply too heavy to fly, also i don't think that rotor produced any thrust.
