i know this is two years late but today is the day before the BU deadline and i feel so much stress and anxiety because i know with my gpa i dont have a strong chance of getting in. this video found me at just the right time and even though it is a leap of faith, BU is a school i am highly interested in and i want to take the risk. thank you so much for your message, you seem like such a genuine person!
I just watched through this video and it was really helpful :) BU is my dream school and I'm thinking of putting it for early decision. I'm planning to major in Education at the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. I have had experiences with tutoring and volunteering as a teacher. However my GPA is quite low.. (3.57 unweighted 4.03 weighted), how are my chances looking? Do you have any tips for me? Thank you!
I can't personally tell you how your chances are because I'm not an admissions counselor, and a lot of both circumstance and luck go into an admissions decision. Put your all into your application essays and make sure that you are representing your best self! You got this!
@@cchy cool cool. I am an international student im planning on applying to either NYU or BU for ED. I'm just scared about the fact that I'm going test optional. My sat exams got cancelled due to covid and I really hope they don't consider it.Have you given SAT by any chance?
Hi thanks for the video’s they are superb! You really deserve more! I have a few questions I wish you can answer me. First how much exactly is the housing in campus or off campus? Second how hard is the business school? Like cuz I am an international students and like my programs are so different? And have you heard about Oman or any Omani students in the university?
Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Here are the current on-campus housing rates: www.bu.edu/housing/living/rates/2020-21-academic-year-rates/ The business school and all schools at BU are rigorous and challenging. If being challenged is something that excites you, BU definitely will give you that! There are also many different resources you can reach out to for help, including TA and professor office hours and free tutoring.
hey gloria! this is a question i would ask bu admissions directly, but as far as i know, it won't hurt you to not submit your SAT. however, when i was applying to college, my counselor always told me that it never hurts to submit test scores (SATs, ACTS, APs, etc.). schools always look at your GPA and school grades first before considering standardized tests. that being said, i know SATs aren't required to be submitted anymore so if you don't like your score, don't feel obligated to submit it!
In BU business do you get a Business administration degree with that concentration or that particular degree? I want to pursuit in finance but I heard it’s a BA degree with a finance concentration
hey becca! in the business school everyone gets the same Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management (BSBA), but with their concentration tied to it. for example, upon graduation i will have a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in information systems and business analytics.
hi! i'd recommend keeping an eye on your email to see if BU asks for anything else from you (ie. updated transcript, etc.). i've also heard that some people send a letter to the university to appeal the deferral by showing your interest in the university or showcasing some recent accomplishments that did not show up on your application. i'm not sure how often admissions departments actually read those but it doesn't hurt to try!
Congrats! For now, I would recommend checking questromworld.bu.edu for official information, and follow the Questrom Undergraduate Development Center (UDC at @questromudc) on Instagram. BU Housing's website also has many detailed pages about housing and dining. Feel free to have your son message me on Instagram @justxng!
Hi! I’m BU class of 2025 and I have a 4.2 weighted gpa (idk what that is unweighted) but from what I can tell from the 3-4 tours/expire does I’ve gone to, you don’t need a 4.0 but you probably need like a 3.8 and show improvement through all four years of HS

another great video
Will you get penalized for not submitting your SAT’s? I’m hearing a mix. I’m a current senior.

What about if you get deferred?? Is there anything you should do that would help you get into BU?
