I’m amazed at how frank you are. Many never would come out with how much racism they went through as a 2nd gen “curries”

Its nice to see the funny way you said about the bitter truths in London that things are very rough and racist and I am glad how you stood up for yourself. Proud of you Nimmi :)

Brilliant Nimmi, would love to you to introduce proper stand up comedy to Sri Lanka. You have it in you, this may be the way to educate Sri Lankan general public out of their ignorance

ඒක හොයා ගත්ත ගමන් whaaaat aunty netta is nimmi harasgama I was confused & also felt so sorry for myself because I didn't know she is a actor. as a Sri Lankan I should kill myself for not knowing her. (actually I'm not a big movie lover or someone like that so I use that as a excuse ) after watching some videos ( like this one) I have to say you are soo amazing aunty netta. 🤩💗

It happens, but some brown people choose not to talk about it, thathwayata honda madine! It might not be so obvious but it is there. People ask strange questions, make wired assumptions sometimes! But racist comments or actions of them shows how little they know about the world and how small they are as humans! We should just ignore it but stand up when we have to.

I am living in England for many many years and never had a racist experience like Nimmi says. Yes some of them can be racist as there are reasons and issues, but never had a racist experience. I have met and associated wonderful people who treated me like one of their own. Please don't exaggerate.

I have lived in England for 46 years and for 42 year there was no racism to write home about( don't give me the Norman tebbit cricket story- I supported England too) until the brexit vote. Don't get me wrong in the 1980' s I had the NF skin head treatment, pinzer movement etc but from the moment I landed the human British have been the best people on earth . No colour prejudice at all. After the Brexit vote some have been horrible but generally fantastic humans . Culture to be proud of .

Um how about we stop invalidating other people’s pain just because we’ve been lucky enough to not have experienced it
