Exactly 1 year and 3 days ago, I saw Kevin for the first time after worshipping his music for almost a decade. It was my absolute dream to see him live. I worked for a year to see him play in Bogotá, with the love of my life. About two hours before he played, we dropped a tab of acid, and we went through absolute torture to try and get as close to the stage as possible. You have to go through stampedes of thousands of people, pushing onto each other, literally get squished until you couldn't get any closer. Our friend (trip sitter) got his phone pickpocketed while getting squished, and when we couldn't get any closer we noticed people started sitting quickly on the floor. We were trapped. We couldn't move an inch, we didn't sit down on time, there was no space left. We had to stand up with our feet trapped beneath the people who managed to sit down and people on top of you who also didn't manage to sit down. Then.. the acid kicks in. We managed to get to the best spot. About 15 meters away from the stage, right in the middle, literally aligned to the center of the stage, where Kevin would be standing, but there was still an hour and a half left for Kevin to play and we were completely paralysed, not being able to even move our feet. Our friend who had his phone stolen started panicking and screaming like crazy, (he realised he got stolen right after we got trapped). I managed to get my girl to sit down, and she was able to remain calm. But I was standing up, an inch away from my friend who was having the attack andwho also didn't manage to sit down, and tens of thousands of people behind us. We were so squished I couldn't even move my arms properly. I could only hear thousands of conversations, laughing, shouting, fireworks, my friend next to me screaming, and I couldn't even see my girlfriend since she was sitting down, I was just looking at the empty stage. And I was getting higher by the minute, and I literally felt like if I panicked once, I would die. We couldn't go anywhere, not to the bathroom, not even to go towards the back of the crowd. If I panicked while on acid there was literally nothing I could do. But then I just thought, this was the sacrifice I had to pay to be able to see Tame Imapala live. And after intense internal work, I managed to meditate for that hour and a half, while standing up. And the finally Kevin came out. In crutches. (He had fractured his hip 3 weeks before the festival, and it looked like he was going to cancel). By the point he walked out in crutches, I was on the climax of the acid, and seeing him, after almost a decade, saving up for a year, travel to Bogotá with the love of my life, it was the most incredible and unbelievable experience of my life. It was beautiful, most existential experience I will ever have the honor of having. I was literally a second away from proposing to my girlfriend who I had been with for 6 years, while Eventually played. (Eventually, was our relationship anthem). It was the most magical and surreal moment of my existence. And right when I was going to propose, I carefully listened to the tone Kevin sang those lyrics, and I realised that despite having always heard that song as a love song, it was really a song about the end of love. That concert, was and forever will, be the greatest moment of my life. I've never experienced such perfect infinite levels of love, happiness, magic and art. I cried for 3 days straight when I'd wake up, thinking about the show. A week later, after returning from Colombia, we broke up, to let ourselves roam the world, and go our separate ways, despite loving each other to death. We decided to leave our fate on to the universe's hands. Now she lives with another man, and me... here, alone, smiling while smoking a cigarette on a balcony in the thousand year old streets of Barcelona. Thank you for ever Kevin
Bro, I was on that concert that day and it was memorable. I’m so sorry you and your girl broke up, but I guess it was for the best of both. I just wanted to tell you that I am here stoned remembering that day too, and your history felt so poetical to me. It’s so warming to know that there are more people who lives this music as hard as me. I hope we can see them again some day, peace
I’ve seen Tame perform 10 different times and that Let it Happen build up hits different every single time. Honestly it’s friggin incredible, please go see them Live if you haven’t yet.
I always knew i needed to see Tame Impala live, absolutely adore kevins music, and now i am 100% set on achieving this mision after seeing this audiovisual spectacle
I saw them in Columbus on this tour. Rained for hours, pushed the show back 2x, rained all night. I was soaking wet and so cold I missed the last 30ish minutes unfortunately. But, I saw them in Minneapolis in 2019 and it was every bit the religious experience. I love Kevin so much, he sang his heart out during the rainy show, and I’m glad he decided to not cancel it. Please tour again, I need my redemption show!❤❤❤ I’m telling you, it’s worth every penny and hour spent waiting ❤
125 subscribers and 4.1k views but dude when I tell you this video made me tear up on multiple occasions. Thank you for spending so much time putting this together!
I saw this tour twice a few days apart! First was in the Gorge amphitheater in Washington and then in Portland at the Moda Center. Seeing that intro in the Gorge with all 3 of Tames huge screens on 🍄 was the craziest thing ever!!!! Followed by an amazing show. As a 35 year old musician, I have been to a ton of shows in my life. I've seen Tame 4 times and each one are the best concerts I've ever been too. Go see them live if you ever get the chance!
You are doing the gods work my brother. This concert is one of the greatest concert I have ever been to. It made me feel things I did not even know I can feel.
This video is a gift. Missing my opportunity to see this show is one of my greatest regrets, one day I will experience this live… The way they perform Eventually!? I mean come. on. That’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen/heard. I can’t even imagine how it must have felt to be there.
Slow Rush 2021 was my first ever concert and That intro had me all the way FUCKED up. I was legit worried of what the hell was to follow and it was the best time ever.
This was nice to experience, hopefully I will see him live someday. Sidenote: if your gonna watch this on anything, watch it on a tv with the lights off so you can get the full experience.
Soy de México, un día me comí un acido e intente verlos, no se pasen, no los aguante! Me sentía en un loop, y las canciones de por si duran mucho, ahora en ese estado, eran eternaaaaaas 😂
Duude you made tear up, it was the best concert I experienced at my short 25 years in Mexico City after he almost canceled due to breaking his leg a week before the show, and after all the COVID left us, an amazing and beautiful dream to being there, if u have the chance to go a concert do it, it’s unforgettable and always be in my memory
Thank you for making this and including my video too! Tame Impala was one of my favourite concert experiences and this well-edited video shows just how amazing the show was. I will 100% be there next time they tour.
I only started listening to Tame Impala after he did a show at the gorge. Gotta wait until he comes back to experience a one of a kind show. I've seen all his buddies in Pond and GUM live, just gotta go to a Kevin concert.
Will he ever tour london again, I’m 14 and I discovered his music like two months ago and I really want to go to a concert but fo you know if he’ll ever come to london. Imma save up so much. I want to see this before I die. Thank you so much brother

Honestly, Apocolypse Dreams into Mutant Gossip into Let It Happen is quite possibly the most incredible thing ever done in a concert

I'm Canadian but happened to catch this tour at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney in 2023. An incredible memory that I'll never forget.
And me who lived 3 years in Sydney and booked the tour in 2021 had it cancelled due to COVID. Don't know if I'll ever see him again in this life. 😓😓
