To jump on the house questions, it depends on them walls girl. Sometimes I’ve been in a home and you can hear your neighbors going up and down the steps or out the door if they let it slam. For the most part you can rock out in your townhome with surround sound without compaints. In the summer my neighbor serenades us involuntarily with his guitar and karaoke from his backyard 😅. I will say if you rent a townhome or single family, you will have a little bit more responsibilities as far as maintenance. Like the yard upkeep, snow removal, etc. Owning is great if you are ready but I tell my clients some times you need to rent in the areas you want to be in to make sure that’s where you want to invest your coins.
So I rent a townhouse and I love it. I had a similar experience to you when renting an apartment with my neighbors with the whole DV situation and I said never again 😣 But I’ve been renting my townhome for 4 years now and can probably count on my hands the amount of time I’ve heard my neighbors…And that’s astounding considering I have neighbors on both sides. I don’t consider these cons, but they are things to take into consideration (keep in mind, mine does not have a HOA so somethings may differ)…No more trash valet, I now have to put my can in the curb. No amenities, so no pool or gym. If a bulb is blown or if something breaks , depending on what it is, I have to replace it (not appliances). I have to shovel when it snows…I guess, overall I just have to maintain the house lol, which I’m cool with. Cost when heating and cooling went up, but my water bill was actually less than the apartment. I enjoyed the switch simply because I didn’t have anyone over my head and I felt safer overall because I actually know all of my neighbors…in the apartment you see a different face every day.

Don’t matter what the Dwelling is if there’s people who are disrespectful, inconsiderate, thoughtless just don’t care- there will be problems. some people are jealous of you and your lifestyle, there are so many reasons. yes Sunny you are better than that. I will be glad when you move back to the suburbs. ❤❤❤🥰

Townhomes/condos can be tricky because you share a wall or ceiling/floor with the one person next to you. So it really depends on the insulation and how thick the walls are. I lived in my first one for 6 years and my second one for 3 years. First one was terrible. My next door neighbor was technically below me and I could hear everything! Especially her blasting her music and I hated it. In my second one, the insulation was a little better for me but my next door neighbor was still below me in this new place and she could of course hear me walking and also hear my dog running. I could occasionally hear her if I didn't have the tv on. So needless to say, I'm glad to be in a house now. I recommend considering how the buildings are connected when selecting your place and try to avoid being below someone. It can still be bad if you're above (like my experiences) BUT at least you don't have to worry about folks walking above you and potentially having children etc above you.

Hey!! If you’re really trying to see a big change in your body, I’d cut out sugar. It may be hard to completely cut it if you’re not just eating whole foods because almost everything in a package has sugar. If you drastically cut sugar you’ll see a noticeable change immediately in your weight loss journey which will decrease your body fat. Then you’ll start to see more muscle definition quicker as you lift weights in the gym.
What I love to tell my fitness clients is shop the perimeter at the grocery store those are mostly your healthier foods & less processed. Your nutrition is what truly changes your body and the gym completes the equation.

Hey girl! Working out is very hard, but it's a great feeling to bet on and believe in yourself once you begin seeing results. It might also help to find workouts you enjoy--what works for someone may not be exciting for you. It could be mentally exhausting! I've lost and kept off ~90lbs since my fitness journey began in 2016. My mindset was if I have energy to pour into relationships, QT w friends, etc., I can pour it back into myself. Just lock in on your why and that'll take the stress and pressure off. I wish you well as you continue moving forward! You'll be so proud of yourself.💞

It really depends on the build of the townhome and what type of neighbors you get…it can be just like living in an apartment.

Hey girl! I suggest a single family home because a townhome if it’s connected to the left and right properties you can hear them. I lived in a single family with no kids and I loved it. Yes my neighbors party from time to time but hell I do to lol. But the maintenance of a single family or townhome is the kicker 😅

I live in a townhome, the only noise I hear is mainly the neighbors in either side of me if their kids are stomping up and down the stairs, just because their stairs is like against the bedrooms, but in terms of talking and music etc nothing.

I bought my townhome in 2021 . It’s 2 stories and the only time I hear noise is when they play their tv like really loud cause it’s on the wall in my living room. Other than that I forget I have neighbors connected to me sometimes lol

I live in a duplex. My neighbor is fairly quiet. The most noise i hear is maybe a cabinet closing or their door closing but that’s about it. Plus i live on a cul de sac so it’s not busy over here

Hey Sunny, I’m a townhome owner and the noise is minimal. I do recommend getting an end unit to prevent noise vs. an in-between unit!

I live in a townhome but I only really hear noise outside. The houses are literally quiet on both sides. Like I don’t hear running up and down the stairs. I actually fell into my third floor to my second and “no one” heard me 😮 so yeah be very careful when you move to blessed quietness lol

-street parking and limited parking for visitors.
- you will hear noise sometimes but it is rare. It really depends on the neighbors. Sometimes you might hear loud music or someone running up stairs, but again it's rare.
Pros:
-you don't hear people above or below you.
-More space
-earning equity when you own
I live in a single family home with a HOA now but in the past I’ve had a townhome. I would get a townhome that’s detached so the neighbors aren’t connected. Honestly, I haven’t heard noise since I moved out of apartments almost 10 years ago. With a HOA, they’re very strict with noise which I love but I also live in the suburbs with older neighbors which I absolutely love.

As far as the work out go just take it day by day ... don't think about so much ... and with living in a town home you will still here something most likely the stairs but it's less noise than being in a condo ... they have some really nice house new homes in Clarkesburg M.D right by the outlet you should check them out !!!

Hey girlie so I bought my home in Southern Maryland in 2022 a three-story townhome and I had to make a complaint with my HOA regarding my neighbors because of all of the noise granted they respectfully stop the noise but girl with a townhome you still can hear it the way these homes are built nowadays hope this help. I currently live in a townhome and I think it’s all about the neighborhood. Majority of my neighbors are older, retired and have no children so the only noise I hear while working from home are the lawnmowers lol

Townhomes can be tricky. I’ve definitely heard the neighbors constantly going up n down the stairs and them blasting their music before church on Sundays. I recommend a single family home. If you have a yard then Copper and roam free. That’s a major plus 😊

I have a single family home. I love it i have a yard i own my land and the home pro its yours no rent. I bought it so no mortgage. Cons when something breaks you gotta fix it and maintain the out side and plumbing all of that. But my husband is a carpenter and my 10 year old cuts the grass . I live 15 minutes from my down town but my closest neighbor is 2 acres away. I love it
I’m in a semi detached home. So only one direct neighbor. They are relatively quiet, but you never know what you are going to get until you move in. But when I’m in the backyard, it feels like all eyes on me. I can see everyone’s windows down the block. Besides the noise, will you expand your content to outdoor areas if you move into a house? Single family with spaced out houses may be better for that.
My daughter lives in a townhouse, and I’m staying with her for temporarily. Sometimes I can her the people on the other side of her if they talk really loudly or if their toddler is crying or running around. I can also hear their music on occasion. None of it is really a problem since it doesn’t happen often. I also know that small children are going to cry and run around from time to time. I definitely prefer it to living in an apartment, and her neighborhood is sooooo peaceful 😌
However, she and her neighbor are responsible for snow removal and cutting the grass. Repairs are handled by the landlord’s maintenance people. Also, it came with not one appliance. She also has a fire place that she cannot use due to her not being the owner of the property per her landlord. She shares a driveway with her neighbor, but they have their own one car garage which is technically one garage with a divider wall and two separate garage doors. She has central air also, which is a plus.

I bought a townhouse and you really have to shop around first look out for your surroundings if your looking for a townhouse and your neighbors are young don’t do it .I live next to 2 older women and the only time I here noise if they’re hanging something up and if they’re having a gathering they will tell me a day or even a week in advance and when the sun goes down they tuned things down . I’m very happy with my purchase.But just do your homework first and always go and check it out at night also .No where is perfect but that lil peace of mind is everything.Single /townhouse it’s worth it .Apartments just don’t care anymore the price you pay now in apt you can be in a single home/townhouse
End units are the best for townhouses because its only 1 neighbor next to you😊

Renting a townhome right now and I’m a city girl… Baltimore Girly.. I don’t here noise from my neighbors I live on a home owners block/ radius so over a spand of like 6 blocks it’s pretty peaceful.. other than the occasional Sirens because I’m very close to a hospital .. apartment living is a hard no for me

I feel your pain. My neighbor has a soundbar/ surround sound system or something and the movies he be watching be shaking the building. It’s not often it happens but I’m like dude we have an entire theater room in our club house that’s free go in there and have your movie night with popcorn provided please 😩😩

Renting a townhome is not for the week, especially in the DMV area. Things to be on the lookout for: how thin your walls are on either side and also be hyper aware of how your neighbors live because their clean or dirty habits will affect the cleanliness of your home. Also pay attention to the reviews of the property management company. The landlord is using or if they are opting to just lease through themselves personally because that will determine the level of care and also the level of professionalism that you will receive. I would also hire an inspector before renting a single-family or a townhome in the DMV. You know it’s a rat town here which also brings other pests and I think that’s something that you want to know before moving in, I wish I would’ve done that a place I lived a few years ago and in person it looks so beautiful. It was a newly kind of gentrified area so I knew it wasn’t gonna be perfect but it fit my needs at the time. a few months living there I discovered a lot of things that the landlord kind of cut corners on as well as my neighbors really poor hygiene habits, which caused me to deal with the occasional roach and dead rat in the walls

Pros: it’s our property, own our land and can park in my car garage without people seeing what I’m bring in…now CONs: someone purchased the one next to us and renting it as a AirB&B 😤 I hate it, can hear people running up n down the stairs and people walk through our yard in order to get into their backyard (yard keepers). I will be purchasing one closer in Atlanta so I will be looking for sound proof walls.

If you get a Townhome try to get an end unit, less noise… If you get a single family home of course it’s much better but, try to get a home that’s not so close to the next. Either way you never know what type of neighbors you going to end up with. Maybe, try to rent a townhome first to see the ends and outs.😅

I own a brick townhouse in baltimore where i share one wall with my neighbor and I grew up in a townhouse where we were attached on both sides. Like a commenter said before, you’re going to hear rude & inconsiderate ppl regardless. Get a single family house

Bought a single family in 2020 and I'll literally never go back to apt/condo/townhouse living. You just don't know who you're sharing walls with, and at this big age, nobody wanna be neighbors w/ nuisances frankly lol if you can afford to buy and you want peace and quiet, buy single family detached.
Yes, you can still run into annoying neighbors on the block or even next door, but the worst you might share w/ them is a fence 😂 and I will take it over a wall any day 🤣 good luck!

I have smokers in my family I don't smoke and don't want to be around it.. The mgmt does not play, so I'm sure soon they will be gone...bcs the last put out others witnessed on both sides of the street ... I know what you mean. Luv the vlog.
