Learning to hand sew your own clothes is worthwhile. Sewing is a cottagecore hobby. You can buy pretty floral sheets at a thrift store to repurpose as clothing. There are a lot of sewing videos on RUclips to make a simple prairie dress. Historical costumers on yt also teach hand sewing in some videos.
Just want to share that cottagecorethings sources a lot of the same items you can find on Shein and Aliexpress. Not as a knock just so people know the quality and sizing theyre likely to receive aka hit or miss.
I watched both videos and just wanted to throw out some suggestions for places I personally shop (I'm guessing these may be a bit pricier than places you're suggesting but I'm plus size and try to only shop more ethical/sustainable brands): Loud Bodies, Reformation, Rachel Pally, Sotela, Hackwith Design House, Christy Dawn. On the less expensive side I also like April Cornell, which is very grandma's cottagecore.
Here’s part 1 in case you missed it! ruclips.net/video/I4jZdyNExmw/видео.html
