      @@zamdrang Watching you two on your CRF300s makes me think that maybe a XR150L isn't too tall for me. I saw the rear side bags on the XR150L dressed out photo and maybe I can get on and off a XR150L that doesn't have a top case on it. The seat height of the XR150L is two inches lower than a CRF300L and one inch higher than a CT125. Maybe I can get on and off a XR150L if there is no top case on it.. no way I can get on and off a CRF300L, especially with a top case like you have.

      @@Vintage_Garage I haven't sat on a 150L yet but I would think it's a safe bet. If/when you pick one up I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do with it

    Wow color me impressed, I've won a few rallys in my day but I bet you could keep up no problem. Awesome to see someone really push the 300 and see what it can do. Any suspension modifications?

      I added a K Tech 95N rear spring on my rally. But if I had to go back, I'd just get the whole shock. Too reboundy. Fine if you don't plan on jumping, and it was absolutely perfect in every other area. But going over little hops got sketchy real fast!

    Id like to know your list of mods for the 300L !

    • @zamdrang
      @zamdrang  Год назад +1

      All the mods I have are bolt ons so far, nothing mechanical. Cyclops LED headlight bulb, Zeta windscreen, Zeta handguards, Kitaco USB port for a Honda Trail 125, Seat Concepts seat (not impressed), Yamamoto skid plate(ebay don't recommend) Rear rack is also from ebay/Taiwan. My luggage is Mosko Moto(very nice), tank bag is a Goldfire from Amazon (cheap but I'm happy with it). Put a Michelin Annakee tire on the rear for this trip which was shot when we got home, but loved it. Hope that helps in some way. I have a video talking about the mods but haven't posted it, maybe I should. Thanks for watching!

      Hi, that's the Zeta Adventure windscreen. I don't recall who I bought it from but a google search should find it. I might have got it from crfsonly.com.
      Heads up the amount of down adjustment is hampered by the brake line. It will just barely slide past but puts a lot of tension on it.
      I'm 5'11 and find it creates a lot of noisy buffeting right at my head when slid down to where it's hitting thr brake line. It's not subtle, very loud.
      I slid it past the brake line for one ride just to test it ans it helped a bit and moved the buffeting point to my neck area. So I will be chopping mine or removing it altogether. Overall imo after 5k miles it's just very loud. If you stand up or move your head to the side everything is much calmer and quieter. Not sure how much it actually helps if I'm honest. Your opinion may differ. Best of luck and thanks for watching :)
