"The Last Mafioso" by Ovid Demaris tells the inside story of Jimmy Fratianno with amazing details including how Frank Sinatra wanted him to do a hit for him. A good read.
It's a marvelous book. What I enjoyed about it was that it focused primarily on the west coast mafia which is often neglected in true crime books on organized crime.
@@drewhunkins7192 I've just finished it. Hands down the most interesting book about the mob I've read. Five Families, by Selwyn Raab, is similarly fascinating! Fratianno is an endlessly intriguing guy.
@@jackieboy3968 It is a terrific read. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I also loved Pistone's "Donnie Brasco" and Pileggi's "Wiseguy." Of course the latter two were made into the films "Donnie Brasco" and "Goodfellas."
These documentaries are fairly I don't know there's something about some of these old documentaries that was more like a proper news person should act. I wouldn't say that Thames is bias here but the quality of these documentaries are very good I mean for mob documentaries
@@cohenkane2148 yes I have read that book. Jimmy had two books published. my father's boss was one of the people that was ratted out by him in that book.
The weaster. The old weas a doodle do or the weas man. However you choose to address him is the most interesting mob dude with the best stories. Would make a great movie on the LA mob. Not to be confused with weasy. Goerge Jefferson's wife.
If you like it, why not? I live a life that I don't want to live. I don't like my job, don't hate it either. That's not a good way to spend your lifetime. I'm working on changing that. I hope I can.
@@filipgrasberg9333 I been there and I was carrying gun when I was 12 years old and fearing death every minute of the day, and I don't wish that life to my worst enemy. Have peaceful life and enjoy every part of it.
@@aldemir6127 I trust you. To me, that sounds horrible. I have had some good changes this last two years, keeps me going. Thanks, hope you have a good life too.
Jimmy ended up being a salesman in Oklahoma City of all places, some of his customers had no idea who they were dealing with.
Especially in an adult book store
“The prince of darkness is a gentleman!”
William Shakespeare
“When they find you, bye bye baby.” Lol
Still the best mob series ever. Amazing, considering Thames TV was a regional channel.
Back when uk had great current affairs programmes.
He has a very soothing voice.
Bobby De Niro should've played him in a movie...
These are the men who control the crime families of America.... Fish on Ghostface Killahs album got me here

So that's where Ghostface got that sample at the start of Fish on the Ironman album.
I thought this was Jordan Peterson
This guy is my favv
You do realize he was a piece of shit mobster who ran and tattled when he got caught? You need better people to admire
He killed Russian Louie, Frankie Nicolli, Frank Borgia, and the two Tony's.
Yes he did.

Watched this long time ago best mob series ever still good to watch so many years later
Read his book, ! Jimmy almost killed Desi Arnez on orders for portraying Mafia as Italians on the TV show The Untouchables! The hit was called off.
Would love to see full episodes of old Thames documentaries
Type (crime inc) its on RUclips
Yep, Crime Inc on RUclips. The best most thorough mafia documentary I've ever seen. I believe it's 7 parts.
Mobfax

He left out the burning of the card into ashes in his hands. 😂😂😂😂
Jimmy was never a fuckin boss. He may have been acting, but California was never taken seriously anyway.
