  • Almost half of all American adults have high blood pressure, sometimes referred to as hypertension. Dr. Holly Phillips told Inside Edition that high blood pressure “can cause heart disease damage to your brain, eyes, kidneys and blood vessels.” To keep hypertension at bay, Dr. Phillips recommends limiting salt and alcohol, and not smoking. She also recommends a diet high in fruits, vegetables and lean proteins. Exercise and stress management techniques will help as well.

Crying also helps with blood pressure. If you're having a bad day and feeling stressed, give yourself a good cry. You deserve it.
Try some things that make you feel better too. Like your favorite movie, going to a park while feeding ducks and geese, swimming or my favorite hobby, playing video games.

I agree. I hate crying unless I’m home alone because once I start crying it seems like I can’t stop. I work with the public so it sucks that I can’t pull myself together easily if I start crying. It’s off and on all day. Luckily, I don’t cry a lot anymore.

I’ve heard that in Japan they have crying rooms. The hotel's “crying room” comes equipped with “soft as cashmere” tissues to “gently wipe away tears” without causing eye puffiness; warm sheets to ensure warmth around your neck as you lie in bed and weep; warm eye masks and make-up remover - obviously to prevent pesky mascara streaks.

I went to the doc and he said I had high blood pressure, "Do you smoke" no, "do you drink much alcohol?" I don't drink any alcohol, "do you eat a lot of processed foods?" no, I eat a lot of fruits and fresh foods, not too much salt at all. "Do you exercise much?" Well I usually run a few miles a couple days a week, and another day swim for about a half hour.
