As most of you know.......torque is really what kills these motors and we're obviously at the very limits of the stock block. We made a healthy 444 whp and 390 wtq with E60 and methanol injection.
Plan is to do a full motor build with Outfront V3 Closed Shortblock, CP Pistons, CP Rods, Headgames Pocket Port Heads, and upgraded 1/2" ARP Headstuds and ASSEMBLE IT MYSELF with the help of a few local engine building friends.
Stay tuned for more WRX content as we go really into the deep end! Thank you for all the messages and kind words.....your support means a lot!!
I tell everyone, "You gotta go to Ron!"
So true Gil 👍
Thanks for the information. How long did you get out of a tank of methanol using it as daily, in comparison to a tank of gas
My son loves my wrx tuned by Ron too lol
So does my daughter. Just got e30 tuned last week.
Another great video my dude! Keep grinding!!
Thank you bro 🙏
nice video man!!
Thank you 😊
Hey Eddie, good info about the new meth nozzle. I also have aem kit and I bought the failsafe kit too. Unfortunately the flowmeter doesn't work with 100% methanol so I will try to adapt another flowmeter brand (aquamist). I think it's very important to be able to detect leaks or plugs and not just meth pump or controller malfunction.
Yeah I heard that about the AEM failsafe so I never went that route......check out my other video on failsafe that I made using a relay
@@eddiestsla of course I checked it!! I did my failsafe using your video but with a modification, I wired a relay to a 12v to 5v converter so that 0/5 v signal is wired to tgv. Ron configured a flex fuel map to change between meth off and meth on maps so I can switch maps on the fly. Of course this set up doesn't work with e85 but I don't have e85 where I live so I can use only meth
@@RickChichar ahhhh so you did the map switch failsafe over over TGV inputs then.....smart setup!! Yeah try the Aquamist turbine flow sensor and let me know how that works......will have to try it myself as well!!
@@eddiestsla of course I'll let you know! I hope my idea works because I'm always worried about running out off meth
Cool vid bro build is looking good your wife is cool for dropping a gear and sending it haha
Thank you brotha 🙏
Stock block? What's your torque? My car is at the same point as yours, waiting on Ron for the tune
Stock block.....the previous video has the dyno graph but it did 444 whp /390 wtq on Ron's send it map
This is awesome!
@@ninjaipanda Thank you!
Yea hearing more and more that a lot of people over 370tq without issue
@@hernextdoor772 keep up with the maintenance and get yourself a solid build with a good tuner and you should be good......I have a couple of friends running similar power levels and crossing over 100k on their stock block setups......
I forgot to ask... any particular reason to go with socal turbo and not with FP Blue?
Yeah sure.....I went with the Socal V3 because I picked up a used core for $100 so the value just made sense over the FP Blue......you can see mine is still a budget friendly setup. If I was spending the money and cost wasn't a concern, I would have actually gone with the Killer B Fury Twin Scroll Turbo Kit
@@eddiestsla thanks Eddie for the information, very useful
@@RickChichar anytime brotha 🙏
Had a Ron tune for a very long time now. Awesome tune. You live together, why the masks in the car?
It's more of a habit now.......kinda sad but true.....end up kinda forgetting its there
@@eddiestsla no worries! Just wondered. Every bit helps.Ron is the man. Running an old school open source on my 06 sti with dom 2.5 txt and all other normal bolt ons for over 75k. Probably 60 of that on Ron’s tune. I have 120k on the 06. Once the engine goes I will need to pay for a new access port. Only had Ron tune it open source when he would for fears my V1 ap could die.
@@rallypig8942 wow Open Source by Ron? That tune file should be in a museum one day 😄🤣 yeah that's awesome that you haven't needed to go to Cobbs constant changing updates
let R rip bro :)
Will miss you in the 2015+ WRX Group but that GT350 is so sick 🔥
@@eddiestsla i be back in 20 years :)
Did you teach your wife how to drive stick??
Yes
Did u change the pump for e60?
Yeah....I have my mod list in the description but running the AEM 340lph fuel pump with the DW Install Kit.....been running solid for the last 25k miles with a quite a bit of E85 mixed in
Did I hear Korean? Instant subscribe.
Yes sir
Look slow for 444hp ..
Yeah still slow not fast by any means......plus wife was scared to WOT lol
