  • In this episode we are on lock down so our bro Lucky Burton took on the challenge to build the body and make it structurally sound.
    Car That Ate My Brain follows film maker, hot rod historian and builder Piero De Luca in his quest to build a replica of the car known as “Tweedy Pie” a 1923 Model T Ford roadster made famous by Ed ‘Big Daddy” Roth. Revell and Roth turned the car into a famous model kit and influenced many, selling over 11 million units to date. This series we tag along with Piero and his friends and see the clone come to life over a 2 year span that is still going on today.

    This car gets cooler by the episode. Not just the car but the way you guys are all chipping in to make it happen. It’s like the hidden message in the whole series so far. It’s so what hot rodding was and should be about. I really hope you can find some half decent induction to do the project justice.

    So rad!
    Great to see this coming together. I’ve been scratching my head when it comes to the pedal setup, I have a perfect set of 39s and a not so perfect F1 crossmember with pedals I think I just have to pick a set and go with it.
    I have to put the engine and trans in with the shifter installed because I’m using a 57 Chevy 3 speed to make sure everything clears. It would be so much easier to stuff an automatic in it but hot rods have 3 pedals lol.
    Again a great episode thanks for sharing it’s given me some ideas for my pedal setup.
    Tell Lucky he turns into a frenchman because he’s tres beau et magnifique 😂

    Really hope you show how you finish the body where it goes over the outside of the frame rails. Planning to channel a 27 T touring over a Model A frame so that would help me out. Loving the build though!

      He does some.. I do some.. my other friend does some... That’s how a lot of cars get built with help from friends. Keep watching there’s a lot to still be seen.. we’re only 4 episodes in.

    • @luckyburton4787
      @luckyburton4787 3 года назад +1

      I do not.. I offered up my help so Piero could continue doing what he does. I wanted to get all the harder stuff done in my shop where I’m set up to do the fabrication. I just did a small portion of this car

So let’s see what you’re doing? I mean you’re the Daddy of Shovel.. you dig? No really do you dig.. like trench’s and stuff? Any ways let’s see what you got in the garage!

    don't use that trans behind a v8

    • @MADFABRICATORSTV
      @MADFABRICATORSTV  3 года назад +2

      Perfectly fine transmissions Bob.. I ran one behind my 331 Cadillac for many years and it was great! I’m not building a drag car.. it’s a hot rod It’s a fun car and it’s what it had.. The 39 or early trans has been adapted to every type of motor so a stock 283 will be fine a probably the most adapted combo done since they were made.
