I can relate to this. I used to be so full of hope, ambition, and specific goals, and now Idk what to make of life anymore. The weird part is that your hopes/dreams can gradually change or fade and then you're just left confused.... Like, what now?
Idk how youre feeling now, but this is a part of aging. As for now, you can do whatever you like. Sometimes we have to reset when we outgrow a previous life
Wish I knew the answer to that. At least you had some real goals at some point and worked towards getting there.

I like Allie X as a talented and creative person, I also like this song very much, you know, this Allie X song reminds me of how a little child 2-4 years old comes to an adult or father and tells his stories.
I love this song so much.
This is going to be a really weird story for most but I've been using methods of escapism for so much of my life... Games, visual novels etc... and nowadays each time I finish say a story (whether from a game or visual novel) I am just left feeling so empty and sad. I am falling in love with characters that aren't real and have a limited time before they're gone...but that time fills me with such joy, my heart is so happy when romancing characters like that.
I know it technically is possible to experience some similar stuff in real life... but not to the same level, not anywhere near as intense and require so much effort for so little payment it's crazy and so depressing honestly.
This song relates to me in that way... it just expresses the dreaming state that I am going through and how I cannot ever achieve in real life to the same level no matter how much I try. I suppose this is what people in old times felt like when finishing reading books. I find that I am content with all that I have but despite this I cannot seem to be happy.
I don't know why I wrote this but maybe it might help someone else that feels similar to see that they are not alone I guess.
It's been a while since you wrote this comment, but I've learned that the way a person feels about a story has to do more with the storyteller than with the story itself. So, work on being able to tell yourself your own story without overdoing it.
Also, bear in mind that one only escapes from somewhere or something if one's not in control of the situation. Thus, as hard as it actually is (I really struggle with this too) there's a point in your life when you realize that stuff doesn't happen on its own. We gotta make it happen. Going to therapy with a psychologist has helped me so much, if you can afford it. So worth it.
@@adjiar Totally understandable and honestly I guess to some degree I'm already aware of this. Still there is so much real life cannot do and it's even worse when with everything going around it feels like there's never enough time.
Regardless I have had the opportunity to go to a psychologist in the past and I can't say I have found great success with it. I am likely to revisit that at some point in the future once I am in a more stable position but right now I am working hard to get to that point and as such these means allow me to enjoy things without expending too much energy (since I feel myself lacking that tbh lol).
I appreciate the fact you took time out of your day to respond to this though so thank you for that and the advice you have written here. I hope your day(or night depending on where you are lol) will be as bright as it can be (not literally).
