My personal opinion is to live close to your work. It will all make sense once you calculate the expenses and convenience. When I moved from Calgary a month back, I chose to live in Vancouver downtown coz my work is in Yaletown. You just have to find a good affordable room. I got a room for $850 plus my work is walking distance. The best thing about downtown is everything you need is there. There are groceries, restaurants and a beautiful park.
Hi Jan, thank you for sharing your experience. $850 for a place close to downtown? What a steal! Yes, you're right - although Vancouver is considered a relatively expensive city to live in, there are plenty of ways around it. You can definitely live here without breaking the bank if you are smart with finances. I will probably talk about finances later on on my channel. But again, thank you for your input. Take care! :D
Hey bud how you feel about prices now? You have an interesting and very precise view on the way you should be living very close to your work I think I've heard this rhetoric before.... Perhaps the suggestion of you know 15 minutes or less works for you😅 is that kind of what you're doing right now😂 Soon the disparity between your ability to travel and what you work and make will make it so that you won't be able to leave at all and then definitely stay exactly where you are.😮 Good luck.
Yeah hey thank you so much for taking the time to listen to me explain each city in the Metro and for finding my comparisons helpful. I wish you all the best! 😊✨

Definitely anywhere in the downtown Vancouver area but rent is premium there! Since the school is easily accessible being right across a train station with a high traffic area, you may consider looking at Vancouver’s neighbouring cities like Burnaby, New West or Richmond - relatively cheaper rent options, but school is still within reach via bus/train!
Hi Rachel my daughter is planning to study a 1 year program in Toronto...is there any advantage if I have some relatives there in Vancouver to pursue her dreams to work there in Canada as well...Thanks!
Yes, there are plenty of advantages if your doctor plans on moving to Vancouver with relatives living there as well. First, you may be able to save on accommodation given that there is a possibility to live with relatives. It’s also a good question for your daughter to transition with less challenges, knowing that she has a support system on her side. Finally, interns of job opportunities, and building a social network - your daughter can definitely get that in Vancouver! Depends on the location. But generally, it’s more expensive since it’s near an area where there’s a lot of foot traffic. Expect $1,000 to $3,000 per month. I gave such a wide range bc price is location dependent too.

I’ve been hearing that University a lot!
