Wow!!!!!
Cheers Mary! A very pleasant stroll up and around Alderman. I was on the local mountain rescue team in the area many moons ago and took part in the search for bodies over to the NE of where you were walking. It's still a beautiful spot. Please take care when walking alone in these places.
Thanks so much Ray!
Thank you Mary, wonderfully beautiful. 🦋❤

Thank you Bob 😊
Another cracking video of another lovely walk Mary. You captured some superb shots there, especially those on Alderman's Hill overlooking the reservoirs. Enjoyed your Lantern Pike walk video too. Have a great week. Cheers, Patrick 👍
Thank you so much Patrick! So pleased to hear your enjoying the videos😁
Thank you for sharing UK's gorgeous countrysides to us. Your signature bubbly 'Goooood Morning!' gets me every time, reminding me of the good old PCT time. Stay lovely Tinkerbell.
So pleased your enjoying it sang nguyen, thanks so much for your lovely comments😊
saddleworth moor is in the peak district 🤔 brill vid again mary 👍
It certainly is! I set off from Greenfield so didn’t mention when I crossed over the border. Glad you enjoyed the video😊
A delightful video Mary and the music perfect! I would love to walk this trail. x
I’ll add it to our ever growing list 😁
The view’s where breathtaking!
Thank you Mary ☀️

That was a great walk! Thanks for taking us along!
So glad you enjoyed it Jimmy 😊
Beautiful
Thank you!
Ran up there this morning. Weather wasn't quite as nice as in June. Lovely video
Sounds exhilarating!
You've really got to try to do a circuit of Dovestones if you get a chance. It's spectacular of you get there when the sluices are in spate - it roars like a jet plane.
The walk up the track to the Chew Valley reservoir is beautiful too, with some great birdlife up there.
Fantastic! I’ll be sure to return soon 😁
That looks like a great morning hike!
Thank you!
Another great video Mary! As a local, it's great to learn more about where I live. Your videos show beautiful landscapes but also so informative. If you come to this area again, please give me a shout!
So kind of you to say so Antonio, thank you 🙏🏻
Marvelous, Mary! I continue to enjoy your content immensely. Hope you and yours are staying healthy and thriving! Cheers from Minnesota 😀☮️
So kind of you to say so Tim, thank you 😊
Probably better than walking it myself 😊
Just finished watching all of your PCT videos. They are great! I did the route from the Bridge of the Gods to Canada when I was 16 all alone in 1970. What an adventure. You should put the Colorado Trail 485 miles on your list to do in the future. You'll never find a more beautiful trail. Mark S. Loveland, Colorado
Thanks so much Mark! Wow that was some time invested in my videos😂 So glad you enjoyed them. 16 years old and alone…that’s impressive 👏
Ah! The Lime Kiln. That place always makes me think of you drinking iced coffee on the Pinchot Pass on the PCT. Derek made a comment about the video along the lines of 'the LIme Kiln Cafe will never seem the same after this' and I remember thinking what an weird thing for a random stranger to say, haha! I did your Greenfield to Marsden walk a while back and popped in for a cuppa, lovely place.
That’s so funny 😆 I think someone accused him of being a stalker back then too 😂 So glad you enjoyed the walk 😁
You're really good at this presenting job, Mary. Has Countryfile called you yet? 🙂👍
Now that would be a great job.. but maybe the BBC will call me one day and offer me a hiking programme 😁 I should give them a nudge one day 😂
Thank you for your video great. I lived in Uppermill from birth we used to go to pots and pans often. MY dad's name is on the memorial he was killed in the 2nd World War I don't think I could manage to go up there now but thanks for your reminder. Bryan
Glad you enjoyed it Bryan and that it reminded you of your Dad 😊
As a new follower Mary, your walks are insperational and you earned that breakfast !!! Robert from Manchester
Thank you so much Robert, I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the walks 😊
Are there any forested regions you can hike to currently? I know England has paucity of trees but hoping to see some of what does exist there. Thanks for another cultural foray into the landscapes and history of central England.🌿
Delamere Forest Ceshire, Macclesfield forest / Wildboare Clough Cheshire. Both about 1 hr from Manchester. Enjoy !! Robert from Manchester
Yes there are some great forested areas! I’ve just filmed two walks which includes forests!
@@MarysOutdoorAdventures Well how’s that for timing! Cheers! 🌿
Moorland is by definition a treeless area, a bit like a wetter short grass prairie. The south-east of England has the most natural tree cover.
❤
Ive stuck a canvas to Aldermans and painted the scene from there. :}
Another amazing video sweetheart 😘
Thank you my darling 😘
I find these videos to be very uplifting. Perhaps it's the views. Maybe the flora and fauna. The music? Or maybe, it's just what Tinkerbells do. Thanks Tink!
So very lovely of you to say so Keith, I am so pleased your still enjoying the videos- thanks so much for your continued support 😊
I just watched your tick video Mary. Now I'm wondering: are any of these grasslands you're hiking though here good tick habitat? Maybe consider this as regular feature for your hiking videos i.e. answering the eternal question of "Is this area ticky?".
Great idea!
great video mary of my local area birchen clough is worth a visit...google it.
Thanks so much! I was literally next to that last week filming a video but I went down Lady Clough. I’ll have to go back😁
Breakfast looks great, but was it vegan? Looked like some sausages there?
I noticed that too!
It certainly was fully vegan🌱 They have a great selection there for us plant eaters. That breakfast includes not just vegan sausages & black pudding, but also vegan haggis (but I couldn’t have that because of the mushrooms).
@@MarysOutdoorAdventures Vegan black pudding! LOL
I know Reverend Al - but it was nice 😂
