Diane and I continue our discussion about the complicated relationship between Black Americans and Asian Americans. This will be an ongoing conversation - a necessary one - and again my hope is to empower those who watch these videos to use their voices to create change. Push through the uncomfortable feelings and just have a heart to heart with the people you love. Timing and setting are important - as you'll see in this video. If your first convo doesn't bring about the results you were hoping for - try again - and maybe change your approach. That's what we did by choosing to not have part 2 of our convo on IG Live. That's what worked for us. 🙂
Your experiences are valid. And we can't fight for equality for all if we aren't willing to hear and acknowledge each other's stories.
