    Thank you Mike. I've been looking into getting one of these portable power stations and seeing real world use is exactly what I was hoping for. You rock.

    Michael! Another great video- well done! I had been kicking around the idea of buying a portable power bank, and you have just sold me. They are so very useful. The prepper side of me thinks it's smart to get the solar charger along with it in case all hell breaks loose, you'll still be able to charge it. My hubby thinks I'm nuts, but I'd rather be nuts now than desperate later. Am I right, or am I right?
    Congratulations on your Trunk or Treat first place! Nice job.

    Cool gadget, but it's a battery pack with a built-in inverter, not a generator. I'm not sure why they call these "generators"

    • @debbiedogs1
      @debbiedogs1 Год назад +1

      Gas generators use gas to give power, solar generator use sun to give power. Maybe that's why.

    • @probuilder961
      @probuilder961 Год назад

      @debbiedogs1 Yeah, I missed the solar part. He did say this one didn't include solar panels.

    • @Japplesnap
      @Japplesnap Год назад

      @@debbiedogs1 Wrong. The batteries are what will provide the power. Solar can only help charge the batteries. A generator actually "generates" power. Yes, it requires some sort of fuel to do that, but that fuel allows the generator to actually produce power. My 22,000 watt generator will power my entire house continuously for weeks or months if need be. That's because its actually a generator. A battery like the one in this video can provide a small smount of power for a short time untilbthe battery dies, at which point it will need to be charged before it can be useful again. It's not a generator.

    There are 2 major tasks that I would want a battery like this!
    1: To keep it as a UPS for my computer, router and server
    2: As a portable power source for my tools.
    I would like to know what type of battery it uses Li ion, Li Phosphate or other? And can you use it as a UPS system to be permanently plugged in to the wall and in to the computer at the same time?!

      Another fun fact, if I recall correctly, the fridge is second only to your AC compressor as far as power consumption. However, coming in at a very close third is your cable box, but unlike you refrigerator that cycles, your cable box is constant. Overall monthly it equates to the AC consumption. Random knowledge of the day. Ha ha

    It isn't your fault, so this isn't a criticism of you...
    But it isn't a "generator"...
    It is a "storage"...
    Solar panels can be considered a "generator"...
    The unit you have doesn't "generate" electricity, it "stores" it for use...
    I blame Goal Zero...
    That, however, is a nice unit...
    Thanks for showing it!

      No. It doesn't have the amperage to do that. However, there are smaller and cheaper battery packs that will easiky start a car or truck. Look at something like the Gooloo 4000 for example.
