Thank you Mike. I've been looking into getting one of these portable power stations and seeing real world use is exactly what I was hoping for. You rock.
Oh and my band plays that Aerosmith song live. Giving the crowd "Sweet Emotions".
That’s awesome! Let me know if you have any questions that I didn’t cover. And your the first persons to get “Sweet Emotion” lol.
@@MichaelBuildsI'm interested to know how well and for how long this unit will run a basement sump pump if you have a power outage during a thunderstorm.... Please and Thank you.
I look forward to your response. 😁
Cool👍
Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your day!☺️
Michael! Another great video- well done! I had been kicking around the idea of buying a portable power bank, and you have just sold me. They are so very useful. The prepper side of me thinks it's smart to get the solar charger along with it in case all hell breaks loose, you'll still be able to charge it. My hubby thinks I'm nuts, but I'd rather be nuts now than desperate later. Am I right, or am I right?
Congratulations on your Trunk or Treat first place! Nice job.

Grosse Pointe
We’re not crazy… they’re CRAZY 😜 LOL. I 100% agree with you. I think this unit gives you SUCH an advantage. Gross Pointe! We’re practically neighbors!
So awesome my friend! That power station is definitely a neat little unit. for the bonus points - Euro Trip "Scotty doesn't know" haha
Thank you so much! 🙏 I need to play this game more often hahaha
@@MichaelBuilds yeah do it, riff guessing is always fun, I see you answered another comment where someone correctly guessed Sweet Emotion, I might have got that one if I'd listened to it recently haha, it's been a while.
Cool gadget, but it's a battery pack with a built-in inverter, not a generator. I'm not sure why they call these "generators"
Gas generators use gas to give power, solar generator use sun to give power. Maybe that's why.
@debbiedogs1 Yeah, I missed the solar part. He did say this one didn't include solar panels.
@@debbiedogs1 Wrong. The batteries are what will provide the power. Solar can only help charge the batteries. A generator actually "generates" power. Yes, it requires some sort of fuel to do that, but that fuel allows the generator to actually produce power. My 22,000 watt generator will power my entire house continuously for weeks or months if need be. That's because its actually a generator. A battery like the one in this video can provide a small smount of power for a short time untilbthe battery dies, at which point it will need to be charged before it can be useful again. It's not a generator.
@@Japplesnap I am looking to get one for my home. What the name of the one you use for your home? It is exactly what I am looking for.
@@caribbeandaysandnights8632 Generac. They make many different sizes, from small portable unuts to monster permanent units that will fully power even the largest houses.
Awesome video. Also respect to the KBS 💪
There are 2 major tasks that I would want a battery like this!
1: To keep it as a UPS for my computer, router and server
2: As a portable power source for my tools.
I would like to know what type of battery it uses Li ion, Li Phosphate or other? And can you use it as a UPS system to be permanently plugged in to the wall and in to the computer at the same time?!
Hey Michael, long time no talk. How do you like that Hisense fridge you showed in this video? I’m looking to get that exact unit
You are talented and if I remember correctly you quit your job for your RUclips channel. If I may recommend you can built your amazing projects for your viewers at reasonable price. I know have tons of great projects.
Euro trip Scotty doesn’t know
🎉🎊👍🏻😆
It's really impressive. I'm curious, why does your mini fridge only stay powered for 7 hours but your home fridge goes 12 hours?
Typically a house fridge is better insulated and more efficient. It draws more while running but cycles less.
@@bagelbandit6076 thanks, it was surprising.
That a good question and I think Bagel is right. Also I noticed that mini fridge motors just keep running and running
Another fun fact, if I recall correctly, the fridge is second only to your AC compressor as far as power consumption. However, coming in at a very close third is your cable box, but unlike you refrigerator that cycles, your cable box is constant. Overall monthly it equates to the AC consumption. Random knowledge of the day. Ha ha
Bagel is correct, it's talked about all over the web how it's cheaper to put a full size fridge in your garage/man cave then it is to using a mini fridge.
Scotty does know a few things, just one that scotty doesn't know.
Eurotrip!!!!!!!!!!
Have you thought about making *concrete weight plates* for barbells and dumbbells ?
Just an idea.
Lots of people doing that in combo with 3d prints.
I'm looking at doing it with 3d prints filled with old wheel weights and then concrete, just so they don't rattle around.
You would not believe that this is a generator......because it's not.
*Power Pack.....
Not a generator
thats NOT a generator
solar generator, yes. Same as Ecoflows.
@@zedwpd solar battery charger
Posting early Michael! Is that a solar power generator? Wait I just watch.
Yep! I Should just watch before I comment but just can't wait to say HEEEYYY MICHAEL!!! 😁
Lol I do that all the time 😂
Is this not camping? No it is high-class homelessness.
Lol 😆
Euro trip, scotty doesn’t know.

Hi Michael nice video!!! I use mine for outdoor movies with a projector, mini dvd player, rolling speaker and 150” screen but soon to try a 20’ by 30’ white tarp. Give it a shot 🎥 🎥 🍿🍿🍺🍺 🤪 🤪 🤪
This thing looks pretty handy. I would probably want to run a single room of the house off of it full time for power outage/emergency situations. The 2400W model with 960W solar seems extremely cheap for what you're getting.
Oh heck yeah!
Congrats on the win.🎉
If I can get 10 hours of heat or a fan In the summer it’s a winner I drive a semi looking for something that will last 10 hours
Merry Christmas dude and happy New Year I hope it's a good one you made some amazing videos this year can't wait for what 2023 will bring it honestly feels unreal I blinked my eyes in one 2023 what the hell anyway God bless you man and don't forget Jesus loves you and your family
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s to you too!
EuroTrip's Scotty doesn't know
That's impressive that it can handle the surge power from those tools.
Yeah I thought for sure that I was going to burn it out in minutes
@@MichaelBuilds I've been looking for one of these for a while. First question I had when the video started...can it handle large power tools like skill and miter saws? This one is in the running now for sure.
It isn't your fault, so this isn't a criticism of you...
But it isn't a "generator"...
It is a "storage"...
Solar panels can be considered a "generator"...
The unit you have doesn't "generate" electricity, it "stores" it for use...
I blame Goal Zero...
That, however, is a nice unit...
Thanks for showing it!
How is this considered to be a generator? It's a battery with 120vac, 12vdc, and 5vdc inverters as far as I can tell. Looks quite handy too! I could use this at the RC flying field to charge batteries for my planes.
Is there some way you could use it to jump start a car?
You know… I’m not sure. I wish I would have thought of that! Lol
I don't think it has enough power - check with youtubers like Will Smith, Hobotech or Jasonoid to see what is required to jump start a car. I believe Weego makes a nifty little thing to charge a car specifically.
Maybe if you owned a ‘92 Geo Metro, otherwise the answer is no, at least not directly. Indirectly, you could always invest in one of those portable units which charge via USB.
No. It doesn't have the amperage to do that. However, there are smaller and cheaper battery packs that will easiky start a car or truck. Look at something like the Gooloo 4000 for example.
For $750 you could buy an actual generator. This thing is useless without the solar charger.
