Remember sleeping in my old US Army pup tents in summer so hot and no airflow. So glad when I made rank and got to sleep in the NCO tents on a cot. At 61 now never gonna sleep on the ground again Hammock or cot canvas only in winter. Have fun stay safe.

My dad had ww2 patrol tent, it was heavy and very big.
I have kelly kettle scout 1.2 litre i find it very versatile kit

I have a brother who I always give the cheap kit to, bizarrely he's some kind of savant when it comes to selecting the most expensive kit that he wants to borrow and then somehow lose or destroy, lol.
