Since uploading this video I have crafted the “Survivor Shortbow”. You really should craft this bow! It has even crazier damage statistics!
I am using the same mods from the video as there is nothing better available.
Although, this new bow has a perk called “Fusillade”, which adds ANOTHER 15% damage on additional hits on the same target, it stacks up to 4 times! (This is on top of the mods stacking multiplier)
Plus another 10% stealth damage AND restores 10% health after each kill.
It also has poison arrows instead of the shock special arrows.

Try the shortbow and spearthrower. The spearthrower is very good on meks and tankier targets. Max shortbow damage you can get is 225 and the max spearthrower you can get is 445.

The following shortbows are the most powerful in their class. So they are best for clean kills on a non-feral Thanator.
Soleks merciless shortbow, survivor shortbow, soleks lightning shortbow.
Just make sure you equip the mods I have on the bow, all the skills I mentioned, and always slide before taking your first shot. This will make sure you get maximum damage per shot.

Max damage you can get from the shortbow is 225 in total. Mine also has 15% health on kill, 15% more damage per shot, which stacks 4 times and also increases movement speed after hitting a weakspot. I use the spearthrower and the shortbow as my main two weapons and i use the spearthrower on meks and heavier targets which my spearthrower one shots things 95% of the time, which if it doesnt then takes most their health. If thats the case i then quickly swap to my shortbow to finish the target quickly
Great strategy! I crafted a really high damage Survivor short bow and it looks like it should be on par with soleks. Do you use soleks short bow for the 225 total damage?
I’ve got to use the spear thrower more often, I haven’t really mastered that one yet
yeah it's soleks shortbow I use has out of the blueprints I've got that has the highest damage Potential but 225 is total output but after the 4 shot damage multiplier im hitting for 360 per shot so it hits like a truck. The spearthrower can actually get pretty far shots but for long ranges aim just above your target in accordance to how far the are and I've found close ranges aim just a tad lower as it has an arc to it but both weapons hit very hard. I would use the heavy bow bit takes ages to fully draw and the damage doesn't make up for it. The spearthrower takes about a second and half bit hits incredibly hard
@@SubaruWRC1996 yeah I’m definitely going to start using spear throwers more! I know their potential is pretty big
Mix a cloud spitter seed with a vineshroom and put the cloud spitter on top and vineshroom second for navaos mushroom pie and then get pale fire seeds with coronis egg with pale fire seed on top and coronis egg second for the stir fry. Then eat the mushroom pie first, then eat the stir fry, and then you get a perfect gather regardless of conditions and a 20% stat boost to whatever you gather. Do that whenever you're gathering materials for the highest quality possible. It doesn't work on animal parts, though. Mix that with perfect white moss thanator bone, cloud lilly bast and pale reed with get highest spearthrower at 445 damage and as for the shortbow use perfect stormglider horn with cloud lilly bast and I like to use cloud pine resin and you'll get 225 damage. I would recommend getting apex crafting skills, too, but you can max all skills anyway, so I don't have to worry.
To get pale fire seeds can set them on fire with an arrow and then when the fire goes out shoot them with electric shotgun rounds and it turns them into pale fireseeds.

to get max damage you want soleks one. Mine does 225 damage, 15% more damage per hit, 15% health on kill and a 3rd one I can't remember

how do you switch between single shot and triple shot using the short bow (PC controls mouse/keyboard)?
If you have time between shots with the short bow, make sure you press the reload button so you can always have access to the quick 3 shots if needed. You can swap to special ammo by bringing up the weapon wheel and scrolling left or right through the ammo types on that weapon. I hope this helps :)

i got a better shortbow idea its has the same modes as the one u showed but has a better perk
What perk does it have?
Just after posting this video I crafted the “Survivor shortbow” and it had a base damage of 172 and its 3 perks are so powerful!
1) restores 15% energy after a kill
2) +15% damage on additional hits against the same target. Stacks up to 4 times
3) restores 10% health after killing an enemy
+ 10% stealth damage
