Watching this at 1am here in Philippines I'd like to sleep but this interview is getting more interesting every minute. It covers a lot of P.O.D.' career, the MTv days, (even punk'd) the movie soundtracks, cutting his dreads and the whosoever... I've heard many times Sonny's conversion testimony 19 years ago, but today it brings me tears by hearing it again!. I remember my mom who died last year, and like Sonny's mom she wants her kids to be with her in heaven someday!.. thank You Lord Jesus for the salvation and thank You for this great interview!

The gospel is not "do good." The gospel is "It is finished." Christ is enough.

"Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?” 29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31
We believe that loving your neighbor is doing good like Jesus told us too :)

Meh. Right off the bat, he misrepresented and misquoted what the gospel is. It is NOT about doing "good" and being "good" to one another. That's what religion says. The Bible says otherwise.
The Gospel is the good news of salvation; the work that Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross, and by believing it by faith alone saves you from eternal condemnation.
This "doing good" as part of the gospel is right out of Satan's religious works handbook and only serves to further muddy and make fuzzy the gospel.

Generally, I hate in-fighting with believers, as we should build each other up. I'm not sure if you're just making a semantics argument, that the gospel is specifically three words - death, burial, resurrection, or if you're making a revisionist mid-acts type statement. If the latter, this comment is reflective of a very man-made modern form of Christianity and needs scriptural rebuttal, as Paul states. I find it even more appalling to refer to the teachings of Jesus and the whole of the New Testament as "Satan's religious works handbook." I'm inferring the comment is rooted in one of the "modern" denominations (mid-acts, Paul-alone, etc.) which teach we have minimal to no responsibility other than having faith, because we are saved through our faith (which there is truth to, we are saved by God's grace, through faith, which produces actions that reflect on this faith, bearing good fruits, if indeed the faith is true. But we don't have minimal responsibility, just read Matthew 25) taking Paul's teaching out of context, (which Paul and James both came against), disregarding Jesus' teachings/the New Testament as a whole, and removing the passages in which even Paul's own statements regarding the works that true faith will produce.
So I'll just stick to scripture. This list isn't even exhaustive, just some examples, with plenty of context if you read their full chapters.
Jesus: Matthew 5: Let your light shine to others, so they may see your good works and give glory to your Father.
Paul: 1 Timothy: Tell them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others.
Paul: Titus: Encourage younger men likewise to be self-controlled, showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way.
Jesus: The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Peter: 1 Peter: For God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.
Paul: Titus: He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.
Paul: Ephesians 2: For we are his creative work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we can do them.
Hebrews 13: Do not neglect to do good
James: What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? (continues to describe that true faith will bear fruits/show works - Paul is in agreement with this statement, and it parallels Jesus' teaching of bearing good fruit.)
Paul: Ephesians 4: Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.
Jesus: Matthew 25 : "For I was hungry and you gave me food..." read whole passage.
Jesus: (Summarizing Matthew 25) God gives the talents to each servant. Some servants take what God gave them and use it to produce much more for God. One servant plays it safe and maintains exactly what God gave him - this servant is thrown into the outer darkness for doing nothing with what he was given.
Jesus:Luke 12: "Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out-a treasure in heaven..."
Paul: Galatians 6: So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.
Jesus: Luke 6: "“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you..."
Jesus: Luke 6: "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back."
Paul: All of Romans 3, very important, addresses those who were already twisting his teachings.
Paul: Romans 13: Do good and you will receive its commendation.
Paul: 1 Corinthians: Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person.
Paul 2 Corinthians: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil.
**Romans 14: Therefore do not let what you consider good be spoken of as evil.**
