    I agree with the comment on the Mustang seat. Nice, but very wide on my Indian Chief Darkhorse. I just traded it for the 2022 Nightster. Only company to make a seat for this bike is Corbin. Very expensive at $455 . I hope that I like it . I went with a dark gray trim. Black leather on the sides and bright red leather in the seating area. The bike is black and gray. Black would have been safe and classic, but I always wanted a red leather seat.

    Have you tried the OEM comfort seat for the bobber? I don't mind not being able to personalize it, so I'm kind of between those 2 because of price. I've heard the saddle man is not a 100% perfect fit for the bike, it kinda wobbles a little.

    • @dadwithabike
      @dadwithabike  3 года назад +1

      I've not tried the comfort seat but as for my saddlemen - it doesn't wobble at all. As for comfort - it's great, but i did opt for the added gel pad.

  • @JefLeFloch
    @JefLeFloch 3 года назад +1

    4:00 you mention that this Renegade holds you in place as you accelerate. Exactly what I'm looking for, as I'm getting the HD Softail Standard (same as Street Bob), and I'm told that the stock seat is so mushy that you hold on to dear life when giving the bike throttle. Saddlemen does make the StepUp seat (2 seater) but I'm not looking for the "club" look, but keeping it "bobber". Question : Is the back portion of the seat rigid, and how much higher that your stock seat ?
    Keep up with the vids ! I may not be getting an Indian, but I do enjoy your content. (subscribed !)

    Thanks for making this video! Its interesting to see different people's experiences. Ive tried Corbin, Mustang, Saddlemen, and Indian Comfort. My experiences has been:
    Corbin - a bit stiff but very ergonomic and generally comfortable. But too much $$$ and I dont like to have to have a key to open it.
    Saddlemen - I actually liked this least. It was firm (maybe need break in time) but the thing that killed it for me was it sat me back an inch from the bars and a tiny bit lower. So my seating position was very uncomfortable for me.
    Mustang - I love this one. Sat me an inch higher and closer so my back was less curved and allowed me to ride very comfortably. Youre right its a bit wide though. But I believe its leather on top not vinyl.
    Indian Comfort - Very comfortable, like Mustang but not as high. Great cushioning behind the tail bone. But it sticks up too high up in the front a tiny bit. But surprisingly comfy.
    Verdict for me: Tie between Mustang and Indian Comfort! But to each their own :)

      The Indian Comfort is a seat I've yet to try. Sadly ... it was not available when I pulled the trigger on the Saddlemen and may have to give it a shot.

    So say I had the money to shell out for a Corbin. Is it worth getting over the Saddleman? The lower price point of the saddleman is attractive and I’m curious how much the gel insert really helps comfort wise, but I just think the Corbin looks a lot better. While I do really like lattice stitching, specifically on the scout I prefer that horizontal stitching plus the black and tan coloring of it instead of just solid tan. I’m curious how comfortable the Corbin is and how well it holds you in place whether that’s when you’re ripping it, like I do on occasion, and don’t wanna fall off the back or whatever. How do they compare basically?

    • @hectichive889
